Bristleback/reaper chill nerfs
Just depends on what side of the nerf you are on.
It’s still not enough for Deathly Chill. You took an already strong condition and put in on steroids. The trade off should have been doing damage at the cost of losing either the moving impairing effect or the ability recharge effect.

Chill should have received atleast 30-40% dmg nerf instead of a mere 15%…

deathly chill already had a bad scaling and they just made it even worse while its very high base damage which is exactly the problem remains the same
Reaper was nerfed first weeks after HoT release, so shut up!

Deathly chill trait was BUFFED in the first week of November. Blighter’s boon received a well deserved nerf and deathly chill still need its damage shaved by another 20-30%.

Yea never mind the insane healing/durability of scrapper, druid, and rev. It’s clearly all reapers fault

I agree BB needed a nerf but all their change did was make the spite line mandatory since reapers and base necro have next to no boon generation. If they made it so it was when we applied conditions, it would’ve made much more sense and kept build options open other than deathly chill, which I agree even as reaper, 15% is negligible at best and hardly affects anything.
You saw the ESL championship? You saw there condi Reaper?! Shut the f up! Rev is still OP, they can easily battle 3 players, even in legendary and still can escape, like scrapper.. so shut up pls!

Just because Rev and Scrapper are arguably stronger doesn’t mean that Reaper doesn’t need a nerf.

That made no sense

People complain that Anet always overnerfs everything into uselessness.
People then complain that Anet needs to nerf harder.

They have a tendency to over nerf things that aren’t a problem and not nerf known issues large enough. Their whole process leads to frustration. Look at the Bristleback damage nerf. It’s been known since the pet was introduced that the damage was too high. Then it is only now that they reduce the damage by 25%. If you’re going to reduce the damage by 1/4, you should have done that when it was originally brought up. Even the Deathly Chill nerf, that should have been done months ago to gradually clean up the talent. 15% modifier adjustment is nothing for that ability.
My concern is that if they overnerf chill damage then condi Necros will be useless again. Pre-HOT they didn’t have enough condition damage output and where nowhere near the meta.
They also added a bunch of boon corrupts that nobody asked for…
I’m just waiting for condi Necro to become useless again due to all the complaining – it’s only a matter of when (not if).
Also, all these changes affect every game mode – they need to split the balancing between every game mode – it’s just not working when they balance purely for PvP.

The high base damage (202) was never the problem—the problem was the scaling because might-stacking made Deathly Chill hit like a truck.
