Buff Defense for Hammer Guardian

Anet will certainly do it on rev sword aa then.
Hammer AA would actually be pretty good if they just shaved 1/4 s out of all cast times in it. Mighty Blow could have an evade frame in it. The other hammer skills need some more work, though. They have unreliability issues that need to be solved before the weapon can be competitive.

A cast time reduction would be nice, but please, no more block/evades and the such. If anything, some of the skills that now have a built-in evade should have it removed.

The 3rd Hammer Auto Attack (for Guardian, Symbol of Protection) should Block while activating.
This would make the 1 1/4 sec cast time viable in PvP:
(right now your just prone to damage/cc from long cast time)Mighty Blow should also have some defensive property while activating (like Scrapper) such as reflect projectile or something.
The last thing this game needs is more defensive abilities added to offensive ones.
Hammer qol changes:
- → 1/2 1/2 3/4 →remove symbol
- → 600 range + buff dmg by 30% + gives 2 might for 2 sec
- → 3/4 cast time + something instead of immob (throw hammer for aoe dmg that cripple + vulnerability )
- → 3/4 + evade while casting
- → cast while walking + retal inside

LOL! The cruelty lies within the fact that your comment is actually completely true when we switch from talking about guardian hammer to guardian sword auto attack.
For hammer guard reduction in cast times would be enough. OK 1 second less rechare on mighy blow too would be great and the always anoying problem to cast ring while moving. So shave 1/4 from all hammer attacks and 1 second from mighty blow recharge would be easy an great.
i doubt that they will improve hammer auto since its already stupidly strong in pve. maybe if they finally split pvp and pve.
Rather than buff more defenses, I think everything offensive needs to get toned down along with all passive defenses and that is for both power and condi builds.

not really. not many pvp players visit all profession sub forums.
posting it in the pvp forum means all pvp players could provide feed back.
and yes i agree that guardian hammer should be buffed.

This is a good point but there are certain changes or buffs that would make a world of difference for guardians in pvp without overtuning it in pve.
For example: Reduce cast times for the auto chain, but also take a tick off of the symbol on the third attack (add extra duration of protection to compensate). This would make the auto chain more reliable in pvp, but wouldn’t hurt the pve dps.
Honestly the only thing devs have to worry about for hammer in pve is the auto attack chain. Buffs could be made to hammer 3, 4 and 5 without really affecting its pve performance all that much.
