Change Conquest to 4 vs 4
pls no, this would drive the game into an even more boring bunker-ish direction
What so thief/mesmer is even more OP? Mobility is already king. This would make it more so. More of an argument to make it 6v6 honestly as it would promote fighting over mobility wars 2.

What is the difference between 4 and 5 ? 4 is basically a 1v1 on all node and someone rotating to kill.

I don’t see how it will affect match making, you will get 3 bad players instead of 1 ? That means you have less chance to have a good player balance a moron in a team ^^ We already got solo/duo queue, following your logic in a few year gw2 pvp will be a RPG.
If you are interested in GW history, Alliance vs Alliance battles were the ancestors of conquest. It was a 12 vs 12 battle to 500 points with 7 caps . Conquest is already the exact application of what you propose, which is reducing the number of people on that game mode.
Those games crushing kurzicks and their " 12 – 0 – 0 " strategy are one of the best memory I have from GW1 ^^
5 is enough to value teamfights and rotations, but not so many as too allow teams to leave node guards. 4 would result in rolling 1v1s the entire match.
