I’ve heard people constantly talk about the removal of glory from the game next PvP patch, will we be compensated at all for the 100,000s or more of glory saved up? That would be a real kitten move to just remove thousands of hours of progress for nothing.

You could spend your glory? You can even convert it into gold with the current festival.

… did you notice that nice merchant to your right? You have a few options:
- buy tomes of knowledge
- buy giant wintersday gifts (and sell em for 2s/each)
- buy other stuff

And then end up wasting the glory when they announce a compensation for it. I’d rather assume ArenaNet is competent.

I find it a terrible idea to move glory, as it only hurts PvP even more. So they remove glory, and you only spend gold to buy rewards. Pvpers, at the short end of the stick, have limited gold even with the new currency after each match played. So now someone who has spent close to no time in PvP can buy better rewards than me? Seems broken tbh.

That aside, your compensation is giant gift boxes. Free 80g per 100k glory, so enjoy. Also, please don’t call glory a ‘progressive’ currency after the skyhammer mess.
