One of the biggest issues in solo queue and team queue is that the current leaderboards aren’t very good. I’ll give a couple examples..

1. A person who hasn’t played in a month can jump 40% after one game, win or lose. Decay doesn’t work well.
2. People with losing records are in the top 100. What? I don’t care who you’ve beaten. If you lose more than win, you shouldn’t even be in the top 500.

The poor leaderboards also then lead to poor MMR for the different matches. It is just a bad situation.

So, my question. Is a new leaderboard part of this feature patch? I might have just missed it.

Please inform yourself how the current leaderboard works prior posting.

A well informed opinion and feedback is very welcome here. Otherwise…

This doesn’t make any sense… If out of 10 fights I get pitted against teams like Good Fights and I lose 60% of the time… the fact that I CAN beat them 4 times out of 10 means that my team is kitten good, despite our 60% losing streak.

Interesting point Jasher. so in other words opponents should be weighted.
beating an extremely good time 1 in 4, would be getter than killing a beginner time 5 of 5.

If matchmaking worked and there was enough ppl, everyone would have a 50% winrate

Isn’t the reason for poor win/loss records due to MMR?

You probably need to take your own advice. Definitely tell me which of my points are incorrect based on the current leaderboard.. Go ahead…. I’ll wait. Or maybe not since you are wrong.

Tell me how decay is permanent. You are wrong
Tell me how there are no people with losing % in the top 500. You are wrong.

Seriously, at least learn a little bit before posting.

It is circular. Which comes first. My point is that the leaderboards lead to bad matchups currently. Again, no one who loses more than 50% of the time should be in the top 100 or even top 500.

Your post doesn’t make sense actually. If you were playing against only 1 guild, and only 10 people were on the leaderboard, then sure, your team would be ranked 6-10.

The reality though is that you won’t just be facing GF. You’ll be beating other people along the way. So, if you are that good, even though you lose to GF 60% of the time, you’ll make up for it against other teams who you beat. Your overall winning % would be above .500 I am sure

The decay works, but your mmr resets to it’s previous value after you played again.

The leaderboards are workin fine, only problem is the low pvp population, which leads to bad/impossible matchmaking

You don’t understand, GF isn’t the only top team… once you hit that bracket, all you face are the same top teams, over and over again. Every once in a while you’ll face a mediocre team ranked in the 500’s and you steam roll them.

But for the most part… yes, 80% of the time, you’re fighting the “Good Fights” of the game.

1. there is no mmr decay, it is only for leaderboard position
2. People with poor records probably played well after the leaderboard reset 4-6 months ago.

The one sided matches are caused by expanding the search as time goes on, the teams are even mmr wise but because of low population the best players can still be paired with the noobs and the players with the highest mmr might not be the best because it is really hard to gain mmr when you are only playing against noobs. Also the variation comes into effect when you are grabbing players from the very bottom of the barrel, some of them might just be on a new account or have not played many games of solo queue, so the people at the very bottom could be amazing or terrible.

PS: everything you ever post is wrong please just stop :/

You are essentially agreeing with me. Not sure the point of your post.

The point is that the current system does not work well. So, either you agree with me, or everything you just posted is wrong too. You pick.

I don’t think you understand how decay works. A player’s leaderboard rank decays after time. However, playing a game will bring a player close to their previous place.

Also, 40% is nothing. I never play solo queue. The other day I logged in, played a game and my rank jumped over 80%.

no… i just disagreed with both of your points then explained how it actually works and that the leaderboards are fine, the problem is that no one plays.
