Dishonored..
Up, please some anet people could reply to this?
They have several times. If you wish to play with your friends, get a better computer or do hotjoins.
Anet never removes dishonorable buffs, even if the buff is caused by a problem on their servers. If you DC once, okay, no worries. If you DC twice, you should stop playing.
Chase, it’s a problem of compatibility with the stupid Windows Operating System. Got this PC 2 weeks ago and it’s designed for gaming so I don’t think it’s a matter of “better computer”.
Bimp, thanks.
Rest assured, you’re not the only one. I had 6 d/c yesterday on my internet. 3 of them were during solo queue. Very sad, but at least i can still play on the server browser.
That withstanding, 72hrs seems a bit harsh imo…

If instead you wish to have fun with your friends, play another game.
Like GW1.

Guild Wars 1 had dishonored as well, and it functioned exactly the same if you left a match.
It does seem a little bit weird that Dishonored exists in Team Queue, since these people playing with you agree to put up with whatever DC problems you have. Dishonored only really makes sense in Solo Queue and PUG Team Queue situations, but I guess there’s no way to distinguish between those and playing with friends.
They could permit only 5 people team in team queue and the problem is solved..

But maybe it’s more fun

The dishonorable effect in GW1 lasts for a few minutes though.
GW1 dishonourable wasn’t half this bad because a) GW1 had better servers and a more stable client b) the timer was a lot shorter

Actually it bad because the timer was so short. You could leave games in Random Arenas quite a bit and not get punished for it. If you think leavers are bad here, you clearly did not play random arena in Guild Wars 1

When they implemented the dishonorable effect, leavers were very rare. AFKers were more likely, but still not as many as before because people reported them and they would get the dishonorable effect from reports.
I had two disconnects and news that my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Come back to spvp for some distraction find out I’m dishonourable for 3 days…
