No it is account bound, unless they changed that last patch.

I’m sure the developers have it coded where even if you deleted your only necromancer, that it will still register your account playing necro and put you where you left off at in the MMR of playing a necro.
Where is your source on this information. It makes no sense since if you could decrease your MMR by swapping characters how would it affect the leaderboards? COuld you score top 100 by simply going to top 500 and swapping to a class you never played and then win a few games at the low MMR?
No it doesn’t work that way, it’s account bound.
is this seriously the reason? So if we want to get legit mmr we should only play 1 class for forever ?
Yes, it’s a temporary situation that is more noticeable to those players who are further away from the default MMR.
No, it’s by design that it lowers your MMR when playing a class you play less frequently. Sure, playing only one class will probably mean your core MMR and profession MMR are in sync, but I wouldn’t say this is preferable as the profession MMRs should catch up quickly.

Yeah each profession you play now tracks its own MMR. I guess the thought behind it is that you might be amazing with one profession but total noob with another so it can match your games better.
