I think giving all Rank 55+ Dragon finisher is a bad idea and punishes people that have really put a lot of effort into sPvP because it’s no longer going to be a unique finisher. Please ArenaNet, raise the ranks for everybody but only by about 10 ranks. Dragon finishers should be VERY UNIQUE not for current Rank 55~.

Those 20 players should get a different colored finisher at least. So when we’re up to our eyeballs in red* dragon finishers and you see a black* dragon pop up, you know that the guy is hardcore.

you’re actually the only one i’ve seen praising this change, but who should they really cater to? the couple thousand casuals that will play the game for a short while then leave or the few loyal fan base.
no wonder this game was the fastest selling mmo at one point and quickly became completely irrelevant soon after. should just rename the game Casual Wars 2. there is little to no depth left in the game.

I’m not mad about the changes. I am mad that the pvp community is essentially being ignored. They’re not giving us anything we asked for. This is a pve update—incentive for casual pve players to dabble in pvp.
I play all aspects of the game as well. I’m not r70, nor do I think I should be dragon. I am r65 and think r70’s should be considered dragon. That seems to be the general consensus.

The difference with sPvP and WvW is the gear. People in WvW get carried a-lot by stat differences. You can put two good players, but if one has full ascended and some legendary vs someone with green armor and rare weapons, obviously the person with the full ascended will have an advantage including the food bonuses you get. Put them in a balanced setting, and that changes. Nokitten on WvW players, I agree some of them are really good, but majority of them aren’t too great. I do PvE alot as well and probably one of the few people who have invested time into both as Rank 71, 2 legendaries, map completion atleast nearly 4 times, and over 8k tourney games played. I just hate being screwed over along with the rest of the others, but nothing much we can do. Like I said in the other posts, I don’t mind them making it easier to get to 80, I just don’t like how people who bought the game 2 months ago can reach 80 too. Who knows we might get rewarded differently, we’ll just have to see.

I seen WvW player better than any rank 70+ i know. just because they dont grind so much rank points a day doesnt mean your better than them, it just mean you spend more time in pvp than any game modes.
The difference with sPvP and WvW is the gear. People in WvW get carried a-lot by stat differences. You can put two good players, but if one has full ascended and some legendary vs someone with green armor and rare weapons, obviously the person with the full ascended will have an advantage including the food bonuses you get. Put them in a balanced setting, and that changes. Nokitten on WvW players, I agree some of them are really good, but majority of them aren’t too great. I do PvE alot as well and probably one of the few people who have invested time into both as Rank 71, 2 legendaries, map completion atleast nearly 4 times, and over 8k tourney games played. I just hate being screwed over along with the rest of the others, but nothing much we can do. Like I said in the other posts, I don’t mind them making it easier to get to 80, I just don’t like how people who bought the game 2 months ago can reach 80 too. Who knows we might get rewarded differently, we’ll just have to see.
i know you marvin played the game like it suppose to be, rank71+ legandaries map completion, i have friends that are rank 70+ like super mang jose who i know since gw1 , avoa, or ostrich from isle of janthir who i see in the mist a lot. some players mistaken me for saying im better than them which im not. this is just a game if they claim to be better than others so be it, its your only oppinion but dont expect others to agree with you.

Honestly this update (terrible pvp ‘rewards’ and max lvl achieved instantly by 2,000+ players) will mean a mass exodus of good players.
It will be hilarious farming the scrub dragons who think they’re good when ladder rewards come out.

I have legendary quip and have achieve top 30 tQ and rank 1 solo Q several times. I don’t understand what you’re trying to say… Are you saying I haven’t pve’d because I had to get map completion to get a legendary… Are you saying I’m not good and get carried?

I like the recoloured /rank dragon idea, maybe every million after the initial dragon make the emote more awesome kind of like the /zrank in gw1.

I’m friends with Jose too we both were on the road to 70 together, i’m not saying people are better than XvsX. I don’t expect people to agree with me. Like you said it’s our opinion, and we’re free to express it and anyone is free to disagree.

This is a bad change overall. So what will High Rankers aim for now that they will hit level cap? Even me, I’m just a Tiger ranked nobody but I’ll be boosted to Bear/Shark level after this patch. It feels like cheating.
