Supporting you region is important. RIP practiced/play in NA servers so you can say they are a product of NA. So yeah we are all in the same boat.

This whole thread is not needed. There are people on both sides who use cheese. It isn’t an NA vs EU vs China thing.

Everyone knows that d/d cele ele, nade cele engineer, and turret engi are cheese and OP except for people who play those specs. You can find people playing those in all regions.

Pretty much. When it comes to competitive play you do whatever it takes to win (besides cheating ofc), there is no cheese. You take whatever advantages you can get and you use them. For example LDLC in CSGO, they are pretty much the best team at using the CZ75 (an obviously broken pistol that is going to get nerfed). However, they used it and won the last major. Does that mean LDLC sucks and they are terrible? No, they are very talent, and are just using the right tools for the job.

This is true to be honest.

I don’t care if NA > EU or EU > NA, I had fun watching those matches, they were all really close and thus “healthy” for the game. Still, I do believe the drama is also healthy. It provides additional layers of competitiveness.

I am more interested in watching Chaith eyebrows ehrm, victory speech and OE’s belly dance, and chinese dancers winking at ROM, to be honest.

How did EU play cheese builds? They had different professions all over. NA on the other hand had 2 engineers, 2 eles, which is what people complain about. The people who play the game know that engineers are op, and that ele’s are op as well, but not as op as engineers.

Pretty sure NA would’ve went super cheesy, but they couldn’t find another engineer of skills capable for esports. Super cheesy as in 3 engineer team.

Been bouncing back and fourth between EU and NA. Got nothing specific against NA, they have some areas in which they are MUCH better (mostly WvW related) then EU, but in other areas, socially and mechanically, they are “behind”.

It’s a total different ‘’game mode’’ compared to spvp and has other ways of skill than just bunkering and cheesing 15 minutes through a game.

It’s seriously much different than spamming blast skills or running after a ’’commander’’.

sPvP seriously can learn something teamplay wise from GvG’s in many 4v4/5v5 team fights and comps.

You just can’t clearly see skill if you have no interest in how and what people do and because there is no spectate mode. ’’roflmao’’

This is where gamers could learn a thing or two from the billion dollar industry that is professional sports. You build your team with one goal in mind: Win. That’s it. No one calls Phil Jackson’s triangle approach, “Cheese”. No one called the West Coast offense, “Cheese”. Why? Because it works. If it works and if it’s within the rules and you win, then you did what you had to do to win and you are right for doing what you had to do to win. People that are calling out any team that wins for using “cheese” have no clue what they are talking about. Period.

Despite not being part of the GvG community, I think your statement is so much full of bias, it is unbelievable…

There are literally hunderds or maybe more who have the talent and capabilities of being on par, if not better than most PvP’ers, but simply do not play because conquest isn’t their thing…

In fact, a lot of veteran GW1 guilds have not transfered to this game and settled within PvP, simply because of what a lackluster PvP is as compared to it’s counterparts in GW1… Those guilds have either stopped playing or are in fact doing WvWvW (usually splinter groups from their original guilds)

It’s easier for an sPvPer to adapt to GvG than the other way around.

Based on what? You can teach someone in less than 5 min his role and what he should do in spvp and he will do it.
You can tell someone his role in GvG, but will probably fail for a long time regardless of his skill, due that coordination requires a lot practice. Not only that but there are many tactics involved in gvgs that are never to be seen in spvp only already due that GvG has more numbers so much more play with combo fields.

it takes more than 5 minutes for a gvg person to fully grasp and apply:
rezzing your teamates, prevent them from rezzing, rotation (that’s huge, most ppl fail coz they dont understand or apply proper rotation), surviving long enough in 1v2 encounters

if spvp ppl want to have a gvg-like experience, they can just get a private coutyard map
