Foefire: Quarry worse than Waterfall
The two points are roughly equidistant from both spawns. If you prefer one to the other, just push for that one.

I’ve honestly never really thought about it lol. When I see swords on a point my first thought isn’t the terrain I’ll be fighting on or the best ground, it’s more of a “coming to get you” mentality lol. By the time I get there I’ve already got a good idea of whose waiting for me but regardless it’s not going to stop me from jumping in. I fight for fun so I’ll kill yah anywhere yah please. ;3
Olrun’s right they pretty much are equidistant but it still proposes a problem in soloq. When I’m on red my team is always more concerned about the quarry and I don’t have the time to explain the strategical advantages of waterfall. Some more LoS block from the cart would be great.
No. If anything the LOS on Waterfall should be nerfed. There is already a problem with sustain being too high in the meta, and more LOS on points will only reinforce that. The problem on Foefire specifically is exacerbated by the size of the Graveyard point.

I’d personally like to see something in the middle: a little bit more LOS on Quarry, a little less on waterfall. On Quarry, the cart does a poor job and can’t even block projectiles from something like lich standing right on point (whereas its easy to play around intelligently on Waterfall). At the same time, the amount of kiting you can do on waterfall is honestly rediculous – it is quite easy to 2v1 for a too long just weaving between the small holes in the back.
I don’t think there should be LOS on point at all. If you want to stall with LOS, fight off point and lose the cap. It’s just bad for the game.

Cart does something HUGE that Waterfall doesn’t do, you can actually use it to stay inside the point from knockback. The fences on Waterfall are designed to be just far enough away to make you off point, so despite being better for LoS reasons each one has a drawback and a plus.
You can stay on point and still be behind the fences, bud.

lol imagine if they added a mine shaft to mid from quarry… lazy river that took you to mid from waterfall… agree i’d rather have waterfall. A kittenING MINE SHAFT OR A WATERSLIDE TO MID!!!! do it anet

Quarry has A LOT more places to kite, they’re just not as obvious. You can jump on the rocks around it, you can also jump on those ironsmithing type things, ect, A LOT of areas, you just need to learn them.
I think easiest thing to do is to make the waterfall ring smaller.
Its already a lot bigger than quarrys and it would prevent going all the way down behind the fence while still being on point.
I’m pretty sure the ring itself is the same size on both. The terrain just needs to be pulled back a bit so it’s off point. Waterfall has just as many places to kite as Quarry off point as well.

I agree even thought it’s annoying when 3 rangers with long bows wanna just stand outside the point for 10 minutes. Funny part about that specific situation is that while they were trying to keep ranged pressure on a bunker with the ability to suddenly LoS them, their other two teammates died repeatedly to the rest of my team. Lol
