Gambling Dueling Server
In EU try the 1v1 king of the hill server. Not sure if gambling exists for it but I doubt it.
Also for the NA duel server you need to impliment restrictions.
EU 1v1 server bans cele, soldier, cleric, and shaman ammys. They also ban PU mesmer and I believe heal signet (may of changed this one).
Also elites over 90s are no-go.
Seriously impliment bans or at set of known rules both people are aware of becuz first thing thats gonna happen is a ton of complaints about specific skills/ammys not being allowed.
Crysis, Lil Damage, Ovi, Jindavikk, Guard
Causing cancer all day.
I like the idea, but it’s rather hard to control this kind of thing… people dcing, mods keeping the gold, people going down the same time, and whatnot.
If there was a regulated in-game system, sure… but this seems to much like scam.
I will vouch saying it’s not a scam and you get your gold.
As to the bans, the server says everything is fine as long as both parties agree. Don’t want to fight turrets? Say so. Lich form banned? Ask for it. Someone will match your terms then and you fight for the gold.

there are restrictions in that 1v1 king of the hill server because it is KING OF THE HILL not a 1v1 betting server where each party must agree to the duel.
If you have the money to get a mammogram and a STD test you should be allowed to duel a pu mesmer.
Pay me, to fight the most cancer builds, ever concocted!
We’ve got;
Venomshare thieves’ guild parrot builds!
Bm Ranger Condi Tank; full Ai/Regen builds
Condi Tank Warriors with pants on head kittened healing signet regen
Super Cancer Elementalists with Sustain healing and Sustain damage!
And of Course, last but not least Prismatic Understanding Mesmers
Sounds good, let me get my hard earned pve money out.
Seriously, I’m surprised people actually admin/watch these servers like a day job.
Also I am jelly of your PvE money, how much have you made now 3k?
Definitely not a scam… A lot of people earned a lot of gold last night but, most importantly everyone seemed to have a good time and received their deserved winnings!
Like someone said earlier you can set parameters for your duel. There were typically multiple moderators on to monitor fights and make sure all set rules are followed.

Note the host is taking commission and is making a killing off of these duels.
Pay 10% to the host to play against the most cancerous builds ever theorycrafted…
I will not and never will.

He is also going through a lot of effort to organize it and keep it running smoothly. Just receiving/sending out the gold mails is enough of a hassle to deserve that 10%.
Also, like already mentioned – If you don’t want to duel “cancer builds”, then don’t. You go /m “lfd no pu no lich no w/e” someone accepts and you fight them with those terms + any they may have had for you to agree to.
I personally think the whole idea is stupid…. you will never see me in there.
Team Lead For Radioactive [dK] B Team
This is better than solo q.
Great idea.
I’ve been hosting one for weeks no comish, haha.
Joined in tonight and had a blast. The builds were all absurdly cheesy. People could specify which particularly cancerous builds they didn’t want to fight when signing up.
I wouldn’t do it again, though. I just don’t have the heart to run a ridiculous build, which means I’d lose a lot of money.
We started doing 2v2s near the end of the night, and those were a lot more fun. I hadn’t done 2v2s before, but we managed to have a couple of nice fights even though my teammate and I weren’t able to voip at the time.
tl;dr dueling=trolling but everybody should try it once. 2v2/3v3 actually has a real future in GW2, I hope.

Agreed 2v2 and 3v3 have so much potential.

Sounds fun but I also hate playing cheese builds. Maybe if they just all out banned certain builds like the EU server did. Also there used to be a 2v2 only arena awhile back. That was the most fun ive ever had playing gw2 pvp
The only ban should be to exclude rune of strength.
