I just afk when I got sky, spirit and court…..use to be able to play rank without all those rubbish map

I actually like those Maps. Skyhammer is quite fun when you knock down all those headroll zerkers.
And Courtyard is just a good ol’ team deathmatch Map. Nothing wrong with that.

I also dislike Skyhammer but what’s wrong with Deathmatch? In my opinion that’s real PvP, not that capturing stuff :x If I want to capture stuff I go to WvW.

WvW is shapping to be more about PvE these days.

The maps aren’t the real problem. The problem is we still don’t have build templates.

I agree Skyhammer (knockback builds OP) and Courtyard (teamfight builds OP) don’t have their place in ranked but SW ? What’s the problem with this map? I actually like it.

Maybe a better example is residing in the fact that I don’t want to play Russian Roulette at the buffet line. They may drop faeces in my plate… or they may drop a slice of pizza.

Do I take the chance? Perhaps.

But I’m going to dump the plate of faeces in the trash if I get that.

Do I take the chance and give my team a potential 4/5 if I get Skyhammer or Courtyard?

I’d rather just take a break from the game until then.

We may not agree on the maps but I understand your preference and choice. I just hope this means a TDM queue with additional maps will come soon.

haha, tell me about it… also you can change your build in the PVP lobby, so just keep two sets of builds on hand that you can remember on the fly, one for fun maps one for serious maps, you have over a minute to change back into whatever build you’re running

Give us back courtyard. Just because some casual whiner doesn’t understand basic map mechanics doesn’t mean we all should have to suffer.

I’ll sacrifice it for now if it comes back with more maps and queue we’ve been asking for this for too long. SH is…not a favorite of many we need options.

among the 3 map I rather u guys remove skyhammer and spirit watch. I still can endure with courtyard. Developer u should know the ppl here hate skyhammer and spirit watch not so much about courtyard. Still reme we have a thread on how much we hate skyhammer and yet you ignore us

If you can find the means to make a thread with people whining about the best map in the game be my guest. All points as big as foefire middle so you can actually dodge AoE fields without decapping and it has no extra features besides a very risky game changing play at the end.

Everyone I play with would beg to differ on Legacy of Foefire being the best map… namely because we are so sick of it. But we keep our whining to Teamspeak and play the flippin’ game.

there must be a reason why all these map is the least selected everytime…on average only 1 or 2 select those match. That’s enough to show how many ppl like those map. If these map is so fun like u all say how come only 1-2 select those map?

These maps are soo bad and hated that whenever I get a Skyham/Court/actualy ranked map for the selection, is the only time I see a map win by having 100% of votes (in favor of the ranked map).

I get that Anet doesn’t want to let the time and resources they invested go to waste, but I’m pretty sure that they see how few votes these maps get and these shouldn’t be forced on us. 1 troll who votes skyham and people usually go afk, especially in unranked where it doesn’t matter.

Skyhammer and Spirit Watch are the best Conquest Maps ever made.

I agree. All points should be as big as foe fire center point. Aoe spamming a point to cap it is just ridonkulous

Spirit Watch might be one of the best tPvP maps in the game right now, if not the best. No jokerino, I’m totally serious. BUT (and it’s a biggun) only when played in a full 5v5 team setting with voice communication. For solo queue or partial teams Spirit Watch is pretty much the worst possible map, because the objectives are too complex for your average PUG to tackle. Trying to get a PUG to coordinate nodes and the orb at the same time is like teaching quantum mechanics to a chimp. You’ll get a lot of yelling and eventually poo flung at you. I’d still like to see Spirit Watch used in a proper tourney, the games could be awesomesauce.

to solve these issue simple create another qeue that only have spirit watch, courtyard and hammer for those who like it by the way include stronghold as well and we will see how many play it

Skyhammer is even more annoying than courtyard…
And also there is no default character model in unranked. Can’t ever see what asuras are casting.
Why not just reenable ranked arena but state that there is no ladder yet. Don’t forget unranked was the place to try out new builds. Hotjoin is not a good place for that because thats more like a zerg deathmatch than anything.

Why remove Courtyard from unranked? The map was the only reason I play the category when get sick of Legacy of Foefire.

We need more maps to select on unranked not less. With that I’ll voice with the others to bring Raid on Capricorn back.

We need an option to opt out of certain maps for the price of a possibly slower match-time. We can choose our game-mode preferences (Conquest or Stronghold) already, why not maps? I’m so sick of Skyhammer. I shouldn’t be forced to play Player Vs. Terrain when I’m queuing up for Player Vs. Player. There is literally zero attractive features on that map unless you’re a player who would rather win with cheese-tactics of knocking people off the map or camping Hammer. I’ve tried to learn to enjoy that map but it’s impossible to actually fight anyone on that map. I don’t want to have to afk, but I might consider it if I keep getting forced to play on SH. I’ve had so many people agree with me, saying “Amen” when I made a comment about SH. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
