What I’m saying is, iirc a dev stated this as one of the main reasons why pvp/pve/wvw balance split isn’t going to happen which is… well.

It’s not about being confusing, that’s just the excuse being made for the very small amount of resources they have in the studio. It’s quite obvious with how poor community response is on both ends, and the fact there are so few and also poor balance change decisions being made.
TLDR, not enough designers, too many internal projects —→ stressful design studio. I doubt I could spend a minute or two in there even if I were entirely dedicated to the game.

We wanted to be able to control the pet via f1-f4 like a true class mechanic. They also said, It will confuse players.
Really? Are 90% of population base mentally challenged?

Well actually not vice versa, Anet only balance for sPvP and always kitten over WvW.
Hm not really that either since kittening over WvW doesnt even involve class balance, Anet just likes to do it in general.
But you get the point. SPvP cant be balanced when its affected by the other competetive PvP mode thats not built around bunkering on a 2m wide circle to win.
Balanced for PvP doesn’t mean it’s balanced for PvE at all. Imagine if they buffed banners on warrior to usable levels in PvP (as in meta), they would be severely OP in PvE.
The situations in PvP and PvE are just totally different, for example, you would not be chaining symbol auto attacks on guardian hammer and stacking them for DPS in PvP.

Umm… not in the least! You have PvP with stats with training wheels. Then you have WvW with Ascended and Legendary gear stats, food, boosters, guild buffs, and world bonuses. PvE and WvW are not “balanced” with sPvP.
