I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.
It would change nothing in meta play since nobody ever dies.
It would perpetuate the bunker meta even further. Playing a DPS build is already a huge risk with minimal reward and adding more points on death would increase the risk even more.
Imho it should be 25 per kill minimum, so if enemy team would go bunker composition you could ignore points and zerg them down…

I still argue that caps should have to be channeled to be flipped. Such that any damage prevents the channel.
That would actually free up some of the riskier classes to do their job better in PvP.
Part of being a roamer is knowing when NOT to fight on point.
Such as: I can force a revenant onto mallyx from a safe spot on some maps, and then kill him once he enters mallyx.
However, the current method of doing things encourages people to mindlessly hop into AOE to be on a point and prevent decap/cap.
Increasing score gain from kills probably wouldn’t accomplish any of the goals that it was changed for.
Where as the channeling of points could possibly accomplish that.

Encouraging people to actually fight each other is more brainless then spamming invulns and passive bunkering?

Exacly, with currrent conquest rule set (point gains for certain tasks) always “bunkering” and “rotating” (read also as “outnumbering”) will be more important than actual mechanical skill.
While I believe nodes were made just to give us reason to fight and not avoid fights…
