Down by 350 points? Assume that’s a typo and you mean 150.
Moot point as your story doesn’t make sense. You can’t hold a triple cap the entire match and be down 150. I mean seriously how can that physically happen? Maybe if you triple cap and then all the fighting is off point but at some point that would mean a majority of your team would be down to lose that many fights, and they’d cap.
I only bring it up because you can’t completely dominate the point coverage the whole time and then lose to a Lord kill. You can do better than the other team on the points, yes certainly, but if it’s a true blowout them killing the Lord won’t affect who wins.
I am sorry I just don’t understand how this is unfair, you can’t get outplayed on all three points the whole match and then kill the Lord and win.
It doesn’t need a buff because it’s all about strategy. It still takes time to kill lord and also u r team has an equal chance to kill there lord also so u have to make sure you plan it out. Typically if a team is above the 350 point mark and losing all there fights th rn they will go lord
Prepatch lord was fine, now is not. Even lord healing signet doesn’t give resistance.
No need to buff it. You also had the opportunity to kill their Lord, just as they had the opportunity to kill yours.
Just get rid of Lord mechanic…
Or make Lord kill the victory condition…
I disagree with the existence of this thread but while we’re on the topic, condition classes should be able to do damage to structures such as the gates. I feel like condi damage and direct damage should be completely interchangeable and useful in all aspects of the game and it’s stupid how direct damage just outclasses condi damage in many aspects of the game.
I’ve witnessed the Lord get as low as 1% health because the defending team (having two cele ele’s mind you) gave him enough protection and regen to self sustain him. This was in a Tournament.
Can a single class kill him easily? Absolutely, but don’t think that a team can’t successfully keep him alive.
For the record, you got the triple cap because two people from the enemy team left point to kill the lord. An Engi is supporting the lord..? A power Guard in Virtues can do a better job supporting the lord than an Engi… at the very least, push the Mesmer off point thanks to his AoE cleaving abilities. You thought you were outplaying them by 3 capping. when your team were the one’s who got outplayed.

Ye. I havent played PvP for a while now but yesterday I gave it a new try and we had a realy neat and even fight (Me and my gf in a group and the rest where randoms). But then I noticed two mesmers slip by and they had destroyed the gate before so we got no new heads up that someone was heading to our keep. I posted on team ‘Two mesm at Lord’ I went to defend but I was to late. I got the voiceover message ‘Your lord is under attack’ once and 1sec after that we lost. I didn’t see what the mesmers did but WTH they must have killed the lord in less than 2-3 seconds.

This is the reason why I never play a condition build; I support this notion.

Ye, in battle for Kylo I always go kill the Treb but when I play my Engineer I have to send someone else to kill the treb as my engi take the whole match to kill the treb. When I play premade team it works realy good but with randoms it’s harder to know if someone listens and obeys or even if they are strong enough to take out the treb fast and kill or Survive the Trebber.
Anyway about that I feel like that makes the teamwork aspect better, I think a Condition build shouldn’t go for the gates or Treb.

I completely and wholeheartedly disagree.
Just implement a downstate for the Lord, so you can rezz / rally him when sb dies.

I don’t think that is enough… In the scenario OP explained and the one I expained there where mesmers, probably with quickness wich would stomp the lord in another 1 second.
A few things I would like to add to Lord and Soldiers battle is;
- When Lord is pulled he will start to shield himself just like the Warrior Ghosts in Aschalon does. Givning your team to react to ‘Your Lord is under attack’.
- When one Soldier is pulled every soldier and the Lord is pulled and thus will result in a heads up ‘Your Lord is under attack’.
- Lord will have a skill to reveal AoE once every 10-20sec.
- Lord has the same Spinning skill as Lords in Stronghold.

1) If the lord is down, is there a limit how many times you can rally him?
2) If the guards are still alive, will they prioritize the lord to res him?
3) Should a condition be added to where the opposing team must stomp the lord to win? E.g. you can’t bleed the lord out while he’s in the down state.

Isn’t that the whole point? Because it requires the other team to defend their lord or cap points.
10s with defending, 5vs5 involving a bunker guard and 2 eles.

Not really a handicap for condi builds with that suggestion, maybe bleed out was a bad way of wording it. My objective is that the lord will not die from dps/ condis or any damage from down state. You’d have to finish him via stomp.
