Hi there, a little about myself.

My prior gaming experience was primarily World of Warcraft. I did however dabble in other mmorpg’s as well. I was a hardcore raider for about 5+ years. Nevertheless, I found the hardcore raiding environment psychologically toxic so I decided to take a step away from that domain.

I’m looking for a relaxed guild/team with stellar players who can not or do not want conform to the demeaning and loutish behaviour of traditional “hardcore” gaming teams. I would love to be a part of a group where the players demonstrate above-average intelligence, exemplary skill, a thorough understanding of game mechanics, maturity, a strong command of the English language, and a lack of kittening, kittengery, kittentery, and anything else that would make themselves unpleasant to be around. More than just good players, I’m looking to join a team of people who I will enjoy killing other players with.

My friend and I have been looking everywhere for an active/organized team/guild for tournaments… to no avail.

I’ve been playing a Guardian exclusively these days… I’m rank 30. My friend is rank 34. We both do a lot of research and theorycrafting of our own… we aren’t kitten’s who rage, but we both play to win and take constructive feedback.

I’m from Jamaica (in the Caribbean). We are on Atlantic Standard Time, which means that in summer it’s one hour behind Eastern Standard Time, and in winter it’s on EST.

I usually get home from work at around 6:00 PM my time. I get something to eat and get settled in and ready to game around 7:00 PM till whenever. I play on a NA server.

Hey, this is cool, I actually feel exactly the same way. I’m wondering if there’s any guilds like that. I can’t commit to putting in hours a day consequently, but I do play my occassional tourneys and would love to play with some like-minded friendly fellows who have the exact same characteritsics you describe (“above-average intelligence, skill, etc”).

Anyways, you might want to add your server and region for people to respond.

I’ll just take an inbox message here on the forums. Or they can send me an in game mail through my forum tag. I don’t think the server matters beyond the fact that I’m on a US server.

Hey Jasher! I enjoyed reading your post – you seem like a decent human being! Don’t get me wrong, I love skilled players as much as the next champ slayer, but the “decent human being” thing can be harder to find…
Anyways, I am part of a small guild of players that seem to do pretty much as you describe: We love pvp tournaments, but ultimately, we are fairly casual. We play to win, but when we don’t, we try to learn from the experience instead of raging.
As far as being active… as I said before, we are small. But there’s usually at least 2 of us looking for a team during prime time; often more. Hey, a 4+pug team is better than no team, right (also, we do try to communicate with our pugs, many times with good results)?
It’s funny that you should mention a “strong command of the English language” – I would like to reply with a resounding “yes!” to that, but I have to mention: our guild leader speaks English as a second language, and occasionally it shows. He’s a nice guy though, so we forgive him.
Now as for skill…I think the best thing to do is, if you’re interested, for you to join us for a few matches to really see if we’re right for you and you’re right for us. There’s not any pressure in our guild; you’d be free to be a part-timer, or simply leave if things don’t work out.
I’m making this post on the forums to give other like-minded players the chance to join our guild as well; but if you specifically (and your friend as well) would like to join us, then you can whisper or mail me in-game, and I’ll send an invite your way.

So I log into the game as I’m reading through the forums and I see this post.
Once I’m in game I decide to whisper you… but strangely enough the whisper goes to the person standing right in front of me…
I thought this was a glitch so I left click this person and find out your username and it turns out it was you!

You were the one person in Heart of the Mists standing in front of me the second I log in!
That was wierd!

Hello, I’m I’m Rank 43 a Engineer looking for an active tpvp team that practices and wants to be above average, I have tried leading my own team and I don’t care for it much so i would prefer to be apart of a team where everyone isn’t looking at me to call the shots.
