Matchamking is still broken
It’s horrible. It’s frustrating. I don’t think it encourages people to participate in PvP or ranked.
-You had a 4 ppl premade, a good reason to place higher division players on enemy team.
The game can not know if that premade might just have been doing guild missions or introducing firends to PvP. Premade is premade.
-You play a strange pewpew/druid hybrid. Marksmanship, 2 of the more useless shouts.
If the build works for you: great. But its not exactly something you can carry people with.
According to your PvP level you have also played less than 500 matches, which basically doesnt imply youre bad, but it does mean you shouldnt ask for too much.
Sorry but this looks like matchmaking is doing its job just fine.
Pls ppl. Try and remember
-A good matchmaking system is not supposed to make you win a game!
-A good matchmaking system is not your personal assistent to find a good team!
It is supposed to place you in setups that you have a chance to win (and 300/500 is not a blowout)
-If you do not win, it is not the matchmakings fault.
If you constantly eperience blowouts. In highly populated divisions and times where a proper match should be possible to find. If you, additionaly are sure you didnt falsify your personal ranking by undeserved winning streaks in S2 or in any other way..
And finally if you can sincerely and truly say that you performed the best way you possibly can.
Then it is called bad matchmaking.
A good matchmaking system should make balanced teams. People are complaining all over these forums because the matchmaking is making UNbalanced teams.
Team A – Team B
Sapphire – Sapphire….balanced
Sapphire – Emerald…..unbalanced
Emerald – Emerald…..balanced
Emerald – Amber …….unbalanced
Emerald – Amber …….unbalanced
The system heavily favored team A, who actually won. All of the unbalanced matchups are against one team (Team B ). The system is consistently doing this.
The system should not have placed ANY sapphires in Team A against the premade 4 with 2 ambers. 5 emeralds against the 2 emerald + 2 amber and a low sapphire (me) or another emerald would have been a nearly balanced game.
You are now basing this exclusively on divisions which is both inaccurate and wrong.
a) The matchmaker starts to search within 15 pip range, meaning a low tier emerald is exactly the same as a high tier amber.
As far as the MM is concerned there is literally no difference.
b) The pips are not the most important coefficient. There are much more factors trying to determine how ‘good’ a player actually performs.
c) Finally that mirrors reality. People often forget how meaningless the divisions really are. Currently they are an indicator of the combined factors skill, luck and invested time.
And there is no telling how strongly those individual factors contributed.

Luck shouldn’t be such a large factor. Divisions should have meaning. Someone should NEVER be forced teamed (by the system) with someone 2 divisions below them.. A low diamond solo que should NEVER be forced to team with a high sapphire. The solo que diamond didn’t not volunteer to try to carry.

As it should, and luck inst a big factor this season; it def was last season. The current system has being hampered by the venomous and largely incompetent S2 system.
