Yes

but only if we can remove the Engineer skill that transforms them into tornadoes or beserkers

and the Ele skill that turns them into a Tornado

And the Warrior skill that transforms them into a Zerker

and The Necro skill that transforms them into a Lick

and the Necro Skill that transforms them into a stinky cloud

And the two Human Elites that cause Trasforms

And the asura Power suit

And the two Guardian Tomes that can also be considered transformations

you could go Look at Polymorph Moa and notice it has a Looong cast time with a fairly obvious tell and then notice it has one of the LONGEST CD’s in the game on an elite skill.

In a competitive scene the Most a Mesmer can use this skill is 1 maybe 2 times in a match.

In hotjoin garbage matches that take forever, maybe 3. 4 if it’s a very very long match..

In the mean time the longest you’ll spend re spawning in probably 25 seconds, afterwards you can go find the mesmer and it wont be able to moa you for the next several encounters you go through against it.

Is Moa a Ridiculous Elite skill? yes in the negative and Yes in the positive because it can also completely wreck the tanky passive bunker and sustain builds which are pretty full of kitten in their own regard..

You just doubled its power xD

Most people in sPvP have learned to run or kill when moa-ed. Only mesmers who don’t realize its true purpose use it randomly to kill the players who haven’t yet grasped how to win with moa. If you learn how to use the moa skills, you’ll have a lot less trouble against those types of mesmers. Of course, there are always exceptions, but yeah.

If anyone wants to have moa battles in HoTM, holla! I have EU and NA account…no excuses! I will teach you how ridiculously easy it is to fight as Moa or run away from attacks as Moa. It will take me 3 minutes to show you this. Promise.

Also, I specified in-game in my original post; you shouldn’t have to read the wiki to learn game mechanics. However, since the Mesmer NPC uses Moa Form, it’s a moot point.

Not gonna lie, reading the wiki is a HUGE part of getting to know game mechanics. There is a lot of very useful information that I and many other testers have uploaded there that a lot of people aren’t all aware of.

There are too many skills for every single person to be taking the time to test 1 by 1 to get to know the game’s mechanics. Though, people like me still enjoy doing just that.

Moa is normally regarded as a troll skill just because of the animation involved. It actually can be a game changer in high tier pvp. Moa is hard counter to invulns and passive trait procs.

Blind, Block, Daze, Fear, Launch, Pull, Push, Knockdown, Stun, Float, Line of Sight and Sink… oh yeah and as you mentioned. Dodge.

None of those are counters.

You are bad. Moa is fine.

You are worse. Moa is not fine.

It is a lame skill (overpowered if it actually hits) . It is embarrassing to use it. So I don’t. Doesn’t fit the mesmer concept or ethos. Something else in its place would be nice.

that skill is actually double edged sword.

If someone know how to move in moa form, can give mesmer hard time.

Or even put caster into downed state.
