I wanted to check the necro celestial signet build for pvp and went to meta battle.

I had a good laugh as I saw “Meta² elemetalist d/d” then the usual “Meta” builds. Ele are so powerful right now that they had to make a Meta squared just for them.

I don’t know if it has been there for a long time, but it’s pretty relevent of the pvp state ^^

Neither do I, it’s just funny and sad at the same time to see that a build is much more powerfull than the others to the point they have to create a new category for it.

I see nothing wrong with this. It is in the highest league, of it’s own. The other meta builds don’t really compete with it.

I think it is more troll that Shoutbow is meta status. That build is pure utter kitten.

If rom or nos plays it, then all the sheeps will follow and will consider it meta…

If they played condi longbow magi ranger w/ infiltration rune and pet pigs, it would be considered meta

That’s a fun build, my kind of build. Where your teammates and opponents alike would go “WTF was that”

Can we please have another ele free pvp year?

One of the best times I’ve ever had in GW2 history is that short window after June patch where mesmers were ungodly OP and all the d/d eles came crying on the forum.

I always cheer for the team with the fewest eles.

The only troll here is AN allowing for so long to exist such a strong & versatile build.

Shoutbow = really weak version of dd ele for those crazy players who don’t want to join the faceroll party (And there’s really a few left who still tryhrd on war instead of rerolling godmode cele dd)

I think it would be nice tho if they transferred forum mods to work in-game

Meta battle speaks the truth. D/D cele cantrip Ele is so OP it gets its own tier.

I get it…it’s funny because D/D is so imbalanced…

Site and builds are perfectly fine. You just not used to meta.

ArenaNet designs a video game. They aren’t responsible for people being mature human beings online.

They are responsible for balancing the game though.

You refuse to do it the consequences you get are deserved.

To the people who don’t get it, there’s no such thing (shouldn’t be) as a Meta2 tier class. The irony is, Cele D/D Ele performs so well in Conquest that it’s in another league of it’s own.

Two stacked Cele D/D Ele classes is a better comp than any two combinations of: Guard/Engi/Mes/Necro/War/Ranger/Thief

You can literally incorporate any other two classes + 2xCele D/D Ele + Thief and be competitive.

metabattle is a good reference if you want to keep track of builds high tier tourney players use. having that site live is better than not.

I’m playing a thief and meta battle is the easiest way to get a quick overlook of the most played builds & their mecanics ( Even if I don’t really like the “meta” concept because it implies " you have to play X class like this and you can’t do it any other way" ).

A majority of the builds that end up on Meta Battle aren’t rocket science anyways. Top-tier players didn’t design them, they were designed by the developers I notionally (in most cases). They don’t make a bunch of traits in a vacuum and be like “wth, let’s just see what happens”. Lol. People just like to give credit to their favorite players for playing them. To hate the build because it’s popular though is just ignorant.
