Well done on properly informing us of the upcoming patch, well played.

That was in regards to their general change to the PvP reward structure. On March 18th, there will be no new reward phase included in the patch, that is all.

Balance changes are completely independent of and unrelated to these reward change phases.

It has been resting quite a while now

As stated in the eurogamer interview; the LS finale will be the 4th of march…..after that they will take a “short” break followed up by a big feature patch. That featurepatch will probably include the balance changes.

If i had to take a guess id say the 1st of april.

If I didn’t have university starting up again, I’d seriously struggle to deal with an even longer wait for a balance patch. This all happens too slowly.

How are people confused by this? They already stated multiple times the 18th of march is the feature patch with balance.

List of things patch on the 18th of march includes:
- Balance changes already listed previously on the forums (not the leaked ones) with more to come
- Sigil revamp
- Runes revamp
- Ferocity stat replacing critical damage (no change in pvp)
- Increased rank points across entire pvp (no # given yet)
- Glory being removed completely from the reward system
- Rank vendors removed
- No more tournament win chests since they will award rank points at the end of the game (with this bypassing the region bug when transferring between NA & EU)
- The fix for the pvp titles where tournament points would not count towards the achievement and make progress slower than it should be. (retroactive fix)

What does it not include?
- The new reward system for pvp because that comes at a later stage
- The ability to copy your pvp look into pve/WvW

This is as far as my knowledge goes what that big feature patch entails. It’s not a new PvE storyline, it’s QoL update.

If you take a break from a break, doesn’t that mean you are going to start doing work?
I mean, doesn’t Anet actually have to do something to take a break from it…

There is no other sign from Anet saying these changes are not coming on the 18th.
Grouch confirmed it multiple times on forums/streams.

If you choose to believe it’s only the glory removal, then you’ll be surprised I guess.

None of your quotes prove anything. However colin johanson was QUOTED as saying the feature build would be “late spring/early summer”.

I said this multiple times on the forums to people. The feature patch is likely to be in May some time. That is from direct quote from the head of the game. Nothing you say has any evidence behind it.

Allie Murdock explicitly stated in her FAQ thread that march 18th was only a maintenence build too. Which further proves that you wont get your changes on the 18th.

Nothing anet has said suggests that the 18th was the date for the patch. That was made up by the community and allowed to flourish by anet for some reason

Basically the Balance is Warrior signet nerf 8%,pindown, Duumfire, Mesmer, guard vigor nerfs.. Thats all what i expect nothing more what we have seen, this is not balance change these changes should be like hotfix and not let us wait 3 months.

An extra couple of months = time enough to get bored and move to greener pastures set to release soon. Now I’ll be honest, I think GW2 is a better game than anything else in this genre coming out soon, but that doesn’t mean it’s good enough or that it will indefinitely retain even me who is in support of it, pvp is very un-fun atm, highly frustrating and that isn’t what you should expect from a leisurely pass time.

ESO looks grim, poorly animated and just generally not my thing, Wildstar looks alright but I just don’t personally feel the future cyborg vibe. GW2 looks better than either of them mechanically, but you can’t look past the glaring problems here like it’s fine.

It’s like driving a Porsche along the French valleys while someone punches you in the back of the head all the way; technically you are getting something great but the experience is being ruined. And even if the new car models coming out in the next few months don’t appeal to you quite as much as your Porsche does, you might just take one out for a test drive and see how it feels to not get punched constantly.

When im thinking “lets play some GW2” i also remember all that waiting ive done for great balance patches..The immob stacking patch was the best imo…..Ive waited for like 8 months for totally nothing.And they went on the forums saying “let the meta settle”..

Keep that in mind while you are waiting folks

What’s the difference in spvp between a maintenance build and a feature build?

How long ago was there a pvp patch? I ask this to put the pacing of pvp patches into perspective.

There was a balance preview in january and yet still no changes happen. Seriously what are you guys doing the whole time? I mean I dont get the point why you make a preview for a patch which probably comes june 2015.
You guys want to be taken serious but this kitten is just hillarious. The game is broken since summer last year and you do nothing – I mean nothing. And now you tell your community that they have to wait even longer. You promised big changes but the only thing you do is remove even more stuff from the game…GG. Even during beta there was more motivation to play this game than right now. But yeah just do more and more finishers because that is what the game needs.

Back in PAX days someone told me that management of Arenanet (US) wants to focus even more on PVE and that this lead to a big argument between Arenanet US and EU, turns out that the headquarter won.
