i dont care if ppl say it shouldnt those ppl that say it shouldnt have something wrong with there brain or are not playing the same game im playing.

this game has gotten so rediculous sence 1 team vs 1 team has came out.

after watching the SOTG i was hoping someone would say something but having someone from a team that knowingly runs the 2 most op classes of course we wouldnt get some real problems with the SOTG fixed.

you dont even have to nerf them just make 1 class allowed in the game at a time.

jon said “lets keep 1 map in at a time so we can see how the meta changes”. well jon i hope you see that it doesnt matter what map you see there will always be 2-4 eles and 1-2 rangers.

(off topic we dont want one map per week can you put maybe 1 map per 4 days and after that cycle change it to all maps rotate? i mean will you please)

“you wanna see ppl make new builds and get good at every class”. well then you need to lock 1 class per team in because right now and since the beggining of the game ppl jump on the op classes and bring multiple into a team.

in the SOTG you guys are praising PZ for being great? it confuses me cause every time they make a strong team its based off of the op classes and 3 times we make a team that destroys them but every time we use good ppl on diff classes and they quit for 2 weeks -1 month until something more op comes out. this is not ok and a game shouldnt be this way. for the first time pz actually has 5 really good players so that with abusing op classes makes this game not fun.

yes im new to mmos i only have SWTOR under my belt but i do understand fair and not fair.

my view on ele = they have crazy burst, crazy cc, crazy heals, crazy condi clear, crazy condis, crazy survivability, they can get out of a battle reset health and do it all over again so even if they are getting beat first attack attempt they will come back and do it again. ( it dont matter how skilled u are a great ele will win) and then to top it all off there elites are the most op eletes in the game. if they need heals for the team or in solo fight the water one (gl beating them 1v1 with that out) or if they need that extra bit of burst for a little more tanky one then they have a dps 1) so overal WTF is all i can say to this.

my view on ranger= they can drop a top tier bunker in 30 seconds. (enough said u would think) they have crazy aoe damage crazy single target damage. they remove every condi every 10 sec, they have entangle elete super crazy op damage and its great for 1v1 and team fights. they are super survivable. u can be a bunker and your pet will kill them fast while they add condis so either one u try and kill ur SOL, they have super speed over 50 times a game on pet swaps so they are so crazy in team fights for reses and stomps. (cc them u say when someone goes down? well i do a smart guard wont let that happen they stability, plus gotta go over there to them cause ele mist forms behind the line so ur dead for over extending) they are super survivable also.

there is more to them but i want to get on with this post. when i hear on SOTG that they are not op and no jon said anything about that directly baffled me. a guy named Newmoney made rangers what they are today. he was the best ranger this game has or had ever seen he destroyed EVERY ranger in 1v1 and didnt die in team fights and he was are back point ranger when only we used a ranger. then he had rl drama and hasnt been back. then PTC got vyndetta and started stomping teams also. but they were still called weak? then i found vain and we perfected ele staff ele then they got nerfed. after that skovex made d/d ele were it is today and now thats were we are at. so yes ppl will always find the strongest way for there class and you keep nerfing it because the same pattern keeps happening we find op stuff to many ppl use multiple in it and ppl complain. (remember ppl thought staff phantasm was op until i made the GS shatter build and destroyed every mesmer in the game? if u dont try watching old xee videos and how he changed after fighting me and losing over 20 times in a row. then i give him my build he posts it and everyone changes then there is multiple mesmers on a team then we kept getting nerfed)

to stop this from happening one class needs to happen because even if op builds on classes are found they only get 1 of them. i can beat these rangers and ele just fine and so can everyone else ive seen but its when u get multiple is when it gets crazy and i dont want them to get nerfed so bad ppl stop using them just like mesmers now keep them how they are IMO buff other classes like u said u want to in SOTG.

in closing if this is the only paragragh you want to read here we go. if you make it one class locked per paid team you will get better information on stats and how a meta is formed. you will see what classes are left out and what classes are used and how they are used in a game. you will see new builds being made and how they work with the teams. you stop seeing teams focus on counter comping but more so on working as a team. you will see more ppl come back to this game because now they know even though they are not a ele or a ranger they will still have a chance in a group. i am not even asking for this to be permanent but even just for a month try it out ANET because no matter how much fun im having with q pops all day it still pisses me off what im seeing in these games.

so great job anet on were are are now but lets take it one step further and get some entertaining games going on. and lets not wait until 3 months down the road or put this on the back burner lets do this right away and i promise just like weapon swaping and utility swaping ppl will see its better for the overall play of the game after they cry for a few days.

you know me im always about fair and never exploiting so some times anet you need to listen to my opinion because i have the games best interest in mind not my own selfish personal need to be the best interest. i look at the game as a whole. sometimes i wish you would talk to more ppl in the community with my mindset and i think more issues would be fixed faster.

(anyone that trys to personally bash me wont get a responce from me. if you have a opinion on rather 1 class locked is good or bad please post that)

One class allowed per paid game? We only have 8 classes dude, this isn’t a MOBA game where bans and rules such as that will exist.

Also understand that even one Ele or one Mesmer is already game changing vs. a team that has none. Why? Time Warp and a hyper carry Tanky DPS. Scratch that, both Ele and Mesmer are hyper carry status, the true solution is either nerf them both to Warrior level or buff everything to Ele and Mesmer level or find equilibrium somewhere.

That would work if there were over 100 different classes like how there are on League of Legends. That would be pretty sick if that was the case for GW2, but sadly not.

What he is suggesting is a way of balance as well, instead of having 3 ele’s spam heals on each other now only one would do it. People would have to synergize with a variety of classes and not only a few familiar ones which is good for the game. Most classes would be designed as a stand alone entity within a group of unfamiliar classes, and in itself the ele might not be OP if it was only one per team, however when you add more than one, the strength of each individual player increases and that is where the problem comes in. In order to “balance” elementalists for this compounding issue it may take their single use (ie not bringing 2 or 3) out of the game entirely and no one wants the artificial removal of a class.

Sidenote to Sataar: A few of the rangers have been here since the start, not all of us are fotm people.

IMO two professions isn’t a problem. Ideally every prof has multiple options so if you did a team of 5 of one profession they’d still be built differently. That was part of their hopes wasn’t it? A staff ele and D/D else aren’t the same ideally they’re doing different roles and its cool. Running two of the same or mostly the same build is cheese.

mesmer lvl? if you have been playing this game mesmer is nowere near ele and ranger lvl. please read the part were i say what a ele and ranger are now this is what a mesmer is. portal timewarp both on 2 min and 4 min cd. other then that we have a aoe shatter that hits for 4k every 10 seconds. we are weak at 1v1 vs most every class because we are built for team but if we build for 1v1 then we are usless in a team fight which most this game happens. but even in a team fight now mesmer is not the best choice because timewarp is only good against dumb teams that stay in it. plus mesmer have to be in the enemys to be useful but the problem with that is the same as the warrior once were in no matter how good we are its hard to get out. the problem is having a tanky class that is op at being tanky and 1v1 and team fights and ele and ranger are both of those. so if u get multiple of them its GG

but maybe class is not op unless there is multiple of them. and maybe more classes and builds will be viable when not put up against op comps. for example your thief is great but not viable when going against 2-3 ele comps.

i dont think this will mess up the data at all i think it will provide them with more realistic data not ppl abusing classes.

but i like your point but my counter to it is when they said mesmer op and thief op then they nerfed them and now ppl dont run multiple of them u see they really hurt mesmer and thief in the competitive lvl. now that we are alone its easy to see they messed up. i dont want that to happen to ele and ranger.

great reply exactly right. and i know there is rangers from day one and you have always been a great one. but now its just getting rediculous and i dont want to see you get totally nerfed nor do i wanna see ele either. but teams out there will always find the most op classes and abuse them its getting so redundent and im tired of making new teams to stomp them. there is no reason that a new team comes out does this then 75% of the players are no longer viable. if we limit this to 1 class per team a lot will change. and even if we only try it for a month to see if im right.

I mean this is something a few of us rangers came up right after the SB nerf, and it’s just now being figured out and used in SPvP….I think most have adopted the 0/0/30/10/30 build I came up with, but there were a few others using similar builds (Basically swapping the beast mastery into Skirmish Line) and running heavy Toughness/Condition gear..

It does have counters at least in 1v1 fights (Think its Wild Bills Venom P/D spec) but i’m not sure how good that’d work in a group fight setting.

Trap Build Rangers have even been used longer then that.. I mean that’s something that’s existed since bloody beta that a lot of us used…

Why would ANet want to limit players choices?

The reason people pick 2+ of a class right now is because either:

  • The class is OP
  • People want to run 2+ of that class.

The only work that needs to be done to solve the first is class balance. Once that’s done there probably won’t be that many cheese comps but it doesn’t eliminate them entirely. This lets teams work with whatever they please without limiting their options.

Im playing warrior(??)and my other friend is playing warrior.. so in order to do one god kitten rating tournament together one of us should reroll relearn the class,get accustomed to the mechanics and develop muscle memory and potentially change his team role.
You know this is an 8 class mmo whith classes that are more complicated than your average moba and a huge pve community thats struggling to find a reason to participate in spvp..and you suggest we make it worse!Yep cut the folks out of paids..they have hot join and frees who cares

We could balance the op classes and wait at least until feb 26th where we should be getting a balance patch… you know… maybe

to relate this to moba.
GW2: 1/8 locked = 12.5% of all available classes/builds locked
so every team will effectively have 62.5% of the playable classes in any given team

LoL: 6(bans)/ what like 110 now? something like that

so 6/110 = about 5.75% of available CHAMPIONS (does not limit builds due to items/runes being universal).

GW2: would be 62.5% of available classes with variant builds on each team
LoL: is (5 per team as well) ~4.8% of all available champions, having nothing to do with builds on each team.

do you see the huge difference in availability pool and why this is a really stupid idea? this stifles game variety more than op classes could. you disallow teams the ability to even try interesting things like double necro / double engi. They are less effective surely but they are available.

Balancing is the answer here, not off the handle knee jerk changes to accommodate current team comp staleness. Additionally i rarely am seeing 2 eles 2 rangers or 2 guardians in a team. I am not at the pro level, but i don’t ever see super exploitative builds that I cannot handle with some cunning.

yes but a class might not be op if there isnt multiple of them. so if we keep nerfing then they will end up not viable like mesmer and thief now. and maybe then we will see warriors become useful. and jon said “engi needs love” ? i hope he has seen q and hiba and 5 guage play enji before he goes and makes this happen again

well not to be mean or sound elitist because i dont want u to get the wrong idea but there is a reason i dont know u. maybe not being able to run 2 warriors will make you more viable so it force you to run a better comp and you will win more. after reading your reply you sound like someone trying to be heard but truly after i seen hman run ranger then all hope for warriors was gone IMO.

also i said to earlier in a reply. that in free tournaments then u can run that 2 warrior comp but you are not bringing that into paids and beating anyone with over a 500 invisable MMR rating.

but great reply im glad to hear from someone not running double ele or ranger build replying in disaprovement.

Trap Rangers really haven’t changed since beta, I honestly would be seriously surprised if there wasn’t one ran in TPvP at some point. It’s always been really good for SPvP.

The Bunker builds though, Those didn’t start showing up till after the Shortbow nerf and people started adapting to the change, I mean….If you can find someone running the 0/0/30/10/30 build with Shamans before that, I’d love to see it..Because from what i’ve seen, I was the first one to adopt the setup (and run the melee weapons)…

Trap Builds though, who knows who came up with those, they were around early beta.

You dont get my point but be sure thats how anet should and do think.You play mesm and as far as i know only mesm(yes i know you,you dont know me! but i dont think this is an advantage in your case :P )..
I guess you would enjoy not being able to do a simple ranking paid match with a hardcore memser friend of yours in teh future.Especially when paids are the basic way of ranking yourself in this game thus the only way to feel you are having progress in getting yourself recognized etc..

I question the fair judgment of a player who says “I think warriors are pretty good” and "trap rangers and elementalists aren’t overpowered

Elementalists are overpowered right now and if a person tries to deny it then they are clearly speaking in their own classes favor or the planet team with two elementalists and our freight that they are overpowered composition is going to suffer if that class suffers a Nerf.

I question the judgment of anyone who says warriors are pretty good right now, Rangers are fine, and elementalists aren’t overpowered. Don’t invite that kind of trash to state of the game anymore. If that’s all a “top player” is able to contribute, then please just have only the host and the developers and no more “top players”.

Some of the players who get invited cherry pick what they say during the class balanced discussion because they don’t want to Nerf they are preferred class, and don’t want to give buffs to opposing classes.

These players on state of the game are trying to avoid the topic altogether sometimes because if they want to be seen as a honest contributor, they would have to mention the overpowered class that they play and the underpowered classes that other people play. Otherwise they would be seen as dishonest and biased and would lose credibility with the player base. So they just try to avoid the topic altogether.

This kind of person provides no contribution to the state of the game talk, and is even detrimental to the further balancing of PVP. Stop inviting people like this, and Instead just have the host asked from a list of questions that give voted the most in a “questions to ask during state of the game talk”

In beta they were really fun, if I remember correctly we had 900 Range on our traps in beta….

The SToG was pretty entertaining, because you could tell that Anet was hesitant to nerf Trap Rangers because really other then it and the BM Bunker build there really isn’t a reason to run a ranger.

Spirit Builds like they said, they gutted in beta…. and Power/Precision Builds are just awful on the ranger since they gutted Great Sword in beta (and to a lesser extent, Shortbow early release)

there isn’t a whole lot of build versatility for the Ranger currently mostly because of the way anet has handled things in the past.

As for counters for the Trap builds, i imagine Venom P/D specs would work well against them as well as they do the BM Bunker Specs…, not sure how well that’d do in a group fight. Venom Sharing would be good counter to it I think but problem is Venom Sharing Radius is low, and you basically have to give up the Heal while in stealth which isn’t simply an option in my opinion.

i imagine Engineer’s though will be designed around countering Trap Builds in the future.

Ele is too strong. Ranger too of course.

The problem for me is the snails pace at which balance seems to proceed. Small changes is a very smart tactic from Anet but those small changes therefore need to be frequent. Currently we have had an ele dominated situation for a while now. I think 3 is probably the most successful number. Teams with 3 in paids seem to do best vs me. So thats often half the players in any game being a single class of 8

It shouldn’t take so long to balance what is a progressively bigger problem as more and more players just give up and play ele so they can dominate. If they are going to do slow changes to balance then they need to make bigger changes to keep the game fresh. Balance changes are as good as new content because it keeps the game fresh and lets me play new builds or classes which are currently on the backburner but I would love to play again. I mean imagine is a shout or banner warrior became more competitive. I would love to try those builds out. Same for a minion necro.

As for the idea: This is the most unworkable idea I can imagine. It restricts play completely and is just a flat out bad idea. A lot of people (even at competitve level) play the class they wanna play. I cant bring a guildie and say “o yeh you cant play necro as I am”. Thats ridiculous.

GW2: 1/8 locked = 12.5% of all available classes/builds locked
so every team will effectively have 62.5% of the playable classes in any given team

LoL: 6(bans)/ what like 110 now? something like that

so 6/110 = about 5.75% of available CHAMPIONS (does not limit builds due to items/runes being universal).

GW2: would be 62.5% of available classes with variant builds on each team
LoL: is (5 per team as well) ~4.8% of all available champions, having nothing to do with builds on each team.

do you see the huge difference in availability pool and why this is a really stupid idea? this stifles game variety more than op classes could. you disallow teams the ability to even try interesting things like double necro / double engi. They are less effective surely but they are available.

Balancing is the answer here, not off the handle knee jerk changes to accommodate current team comp staleness. Additionally i rarely am seeing 2 eles 2 rangers or 2 guardians in a team. I am not at the pro level, but i don’t ever see super exploitative builds that I cannot handle with some cunning.

well when u get to top lvl u will see how the comps are built around op builds. so that is the reason i say only in paids. at your lvl in frees and hot join by all means have fun do weird fun stuff. but in paids we should at least try it for a month. if its not good fine kick the idea.

I question the fair judgment of a player who says “I think warriors are pretty good” and "trap rangers and elementalists aren’t overpowered

Elementalists are overpowered right now and if a person tries to deny it then they are clearly speaking in their own classes favor or the planet team with two elementalists and our freight that they are overpowered composition is going to suffer if that class suffers a Nerf.

I question the judgment of anyone who says warriors are pretty good right now, Rangers are fine, and elementalists aren’t overpowered. Don’t invite that kind of trash to state of the game anymore. If that’s all a “top player” is able to contribute, then please just have only the host and the developers and no more “top players”.

Some of the players who get invited cherry pick what they say during the class balanced discussion because they don’t want to Nerf they are preferred class, and don’t want to give buffs to opposing classes.

These players on state of the game are trying to avoid the topic altogether sometimes because if they want to be seen as a honest contributor, they would have to mention the overpowered class that they play and the underpowered classes that other people play. Otherwise they would be seen as dishonest and biased and would lose credibility with the player base. So they just try to avoid the topic altogether.

This kind of person provides no contribution to the state of the game talk, and is even detrimental to the further balancing of PVP. Stop inviting people like this, and Instead just have the host asked from a list of questions that give voted the most in a “questions to ask during state of the game talk”

well i agree with u completely there is now reason a self promoting person should be on SOTG. you need ppl that look out for everyones best interest. not the top team at that moment. if this happens even for a month there wil be great games there is no need to nerf or buff anything until after this.

in the SOTG they might be right they are not op but when there is more then 1 then they become op

So now from d/d eles..the entire profession has become OP, the OP got absolutely no clue of the other weapon sets…never even used them..he claims ele elites are OP because while using glyph of summon in water your water golem may decide to use its only redeeming skills which is an aoe healing, this happen and random interval with complete lack of control on our side, this means that you can miles away from it and the summon will still use its aoe heal as he may as well don’t use it at all during the whole duration or until killed.

Furthermore the OP has included elites like :Tornado and Fiery great sword in the group of “OP”…my god…pls spare me, my eyes are bleeding, this is an insult to human intelligence, I wouldn’t expect this kind of reasoning even from my 4 years old cousin…

a GW2 TOP player is telling us that Fiery Great Sword and Tornado elites are OP

PlS Anet , if you’re really serious about esport..remove this QP bullkitten because these people really consider themself “pro” players for having accumulated many QP, I’ll wait for your ladder and win/loss ratio formula…in the meantime pls keep indoor these “elements” , I don’t want them to scare a child for life, if he happen to read this crap…he may receive permanet brain damage

Not exactly. They didn’t ignore your build. They actually made fun of you and called you a troll. I used to think posting a good build on the ranger forum was a bad idea, cos everyone would have copied it, but i was wrong. On ranger forum page 1 or 2 you could fine someone who has suggested a build with lb and bear…

P/d is quite bad in spvp. You can’t use cond dur food in there. Also p/d is strong in wvw mostly cos as a thief you have tons of mobs around you can use c&d on. So if the opponent is good enough to dodge every c&d you don’t have to worry, just target a stupid mosquito and you are safe. Clearly a good game design.
And imo trap specs are not that good, mainly cos you have to waste 30 points in the crit tree. Atm the bm bunker is the best spec (actually the only good one) ranger can use.

Edit: and pls anet nerf fiery great sword and tornado. Other elites just pale in comparison.

The SToG was pretty entertaining, because you could tell that Anet was hesitant to nerf Trap Rangers because really other then it and the BM Bunker build there really isn’t a reason to run a ranger.

i used to think that also but then i seen hman playing a ranger then ele. so no ppl play the op class to win not what they want to play. actually very few ppl play what they want to play even raytek went to necro and jumper when jumper wanted to go competitive went necro. so there is many examples of ppl not running what they want so i think this will fix it.

this game has gotten so rediculous sence 1 team vs 1 team has came out.

after watching the SOTG i was hoping someone would say something but having someone from a team that knowingly runs the 2 most op classes of course we wouldnt get some real problems with the SOTG fixed.

you dont even have to nerf them just make 1 class allowed in the game at a time.

in the SOTG you guys are praising PZ for being great? it confuses me cause every time they make a strong team its based off of the op classes and 3 times we make a team that destroys them but every time we use good ppl on diff classes and they quit for 2 weeks -1 month until something more op comes out. this is not ok and a game shouldnt be this way. for the first time pz actually has 5 really good players so that with abusing op classes makes this game not fun.

yes im new to mmos i only have SWTOR under my belt but i do understand fair and not fair.

my view on ele = they have crazy burst, crazy cc, crazy heals, crazy condi clear, crazy condis, crazy survivability, they can get out of a battle reset health and do it all over again so even if they are getting beat first attack attempt they will come back and do it again. ( it dont matter how skilled u are a great ele will win) and then to top it all off there elites are the most op eletes in the game. if they need heals for the team or in solo fight the water one (gl beating them 1v1 with that out) or if they need that extra bit of burst for a little more tanky one then they have a dps 1) so overal WTF is all i can say to this.

my view on ranger= they can drop a top tier bunker in 30 seconds. (enough said u would think) they have crazy aoe damage crazy single target damage. they remove every condi every 10 sec, they have entangle elete super crazy op damage and its great for 1v1 and team fights. they are super survivable. u can be a bunker and your pet will kill them fast while they add condis so either one u try and kill ur SOL, they have super speed over 50 times a game on pet swaps so they are so crazy in team fights for reses and stomps. (cc them u say when someone goes down? well i do a smart guard wont let that happen they stability, plus gotta go over there to them cause ele mist forms behind the line so ur dead for over extending) they are super survivable also.

there is more to them but i want to get on with this post. when i hear on SOTG that they are not op and no jon said anything about that directly baffled me. a guy named Newmoney made rangers what they are today. he was the best ranger this game has or had ever seen he destroyed EVERY ranger in 1v1 and didnt die in team fights and he was are back point ranger when only we used a ranger. then he had rl drama and hasnt been back. then PTC got vyndetta and started stomping teams also. but they were still called weak? then i found vain and we perfected ele staff ele then they got nerfed. after that skovex made d/d ele were it is today and now thats were we are at. so yes ppl will always find the strongest way for there class and you keep nerfing it because the same pattern keeps happening we find op stuff to many ppl use multiple in it and ppl complain. (remember ppl thought staff phantasm was op until i made the GS shatter build and destroyed every mesmer in the game? if u dont try watching old xee videos and how he changed after fighting me and losing over 20 times in a row. then i give him my build he posts it and everyone changes then there is multiple mesmers on a team then we kept getting nerfed)

to stop this from happening one class needs to happen because even if op builds on classes are found they only get 1 of them. i can beat these rangers and ele just fine and so can everyone else ive seen but its when u get multiple is when it gets crazy and i dont want them to get nerfed so bad ppl stop using them just like mesmers now keep them how they are IMO buff other classes like u said u want to in SOTG.

there were top teams running these for a long time but there was still variety now this is all u can do and newmoney used to dominate with this.

Trap Rangers really haven’t changed since beta, I honestly would be seriously surprised if there wasn’t one ran in TPvP at some point. It’s always been really good for SPvP.

The Bunker builds though, Those didn’t start showing up till after the Shortbow nerf and people started adapting to the change, I mean….If you can find someone running the 0/0/30/10/30 build with Shamans before that, I’d love to see it..Because from what i’ve seen, I was the first one to adopt the setup (and run the melee weapons)…

Trap Builds though, who knows who came up with those, they were around early beta.

Not talking about the trap ranger. Talking about BM builds.

I think it is a really bad idea.
Appearance of teams running multiples of single class and dominating is actually very good data point about OP-ness of the class and need to tone it down.
Now you would completely remove that data.
The solution is to balance the class, not to destroy data that points out that class is OP.

What he is suggesting is a way of balance as well, instead of having 3 ele’s spam heals on each other now only one would do it. ….

Sorry to be negative but again NO. What he suggests is to force 5v5 to be more balanced by making every team (almost) the same. (Now composition like 5 warriors that some ppl like to play becomes impossible. And if you have 2-3 super-classes that all teams bring in, then remaining 2 spots will be all the differentiation between teams)

At the same time his suggestion will severely obscure class imbalances.

Get it? “5v5 balance” versus “class balance”. 5v5 balance should be product of good class balance, not of forcing ‘1 class per team’.

Again, sorry to be negative but I think it is really bad idea, now if two buddies like that play the same class and they play it well, they cannot be in the same team, or one of them will be forced to play the class he does not care to play. Come on guys, ask ANET to do their kittening job properly (balance classes), do not make bad suggestions like this.
Games are about having fun and letting people do what they want within a good framework. Currently ANET needs to improve the framework (balance classes, tone down AOE and severely tone down rezzing ability in downed state) if they want 5v5 to get better. If you start putting severe limitations, like preventing ppl to play classes they want to play, you will lose even more players.

An invul (in Marksmen)
20s Stability, Fury, Swiftness on a 120s Cooldown
Quickness

+1 to you sir. But the main thing I disagree with is cutting down on those abilities. The Ranger as it stands now, does not have as much utility viability as the other professions.

You named two evades on 1 weapon for the ranger. And yet the true evade that the Ranger has as one of their utilities is Lightning Reflexes (which could use a bit of help)

But I very much agree with you in regards to the focus of the slightly weaker things that could use a buff. There shouldn’t be just 2 weapons or few traits that are more superior than the others.

And what I fear is that Anet would focus on nerfing the things that works and not properly handle the things that aren’t working. Then we’re back to square one of figuring out how to fix the class again.

I beg you Anet to take a good look at what can be improved before touching anything that is currently working for the class.

Wasn’t you the one who was always stating that you should L2P, and not whine? Rangers are quite fine, however, eles are ones that need to be looked closely, because their insane healing capabilities, good damage, and what not is clearly over the top. Otherwise you wouldn’t be seeing so many eles being ran in competitive teams.

nope this thread says opposite of nerf it says restrict. in SOTG they said ranger and ele will be nerfed im trying to prevent that before they end up useless like mesmer and thief in top lvl play.
