Now I’m not saying that this should be high on the list of things to fix, but still.. Seriously, I have a stack of these lvl up tomes with no intention to make another alt or farm BL keys for the next month like a braindead. So, whenever I get one of these tomes it just feels like a nerf to the amount of gold I can get through PvP. And there’s not a single reward track without them! Can we please get just pure gold (with only stuff that are sellable) reward track? That would be awesome, thanks.

If you complain about that then theoretically you should complain about every single other non-pure-gold reward from these and advocate for a strictly gold-related track (which I’d probably support as well).

Getting tomes is virtually the same as every other non-gold reward in that it takes time and effort to convert it to your preferred currency.

• get skill points
• do things at the mystic forge that use skill points
• sell those products on tp
• ???
• where did all this gold come from???

I’d like another reward track that doesn’t fill my inventory with different boxes that give similar loot. The Wintersday track was the happiest my inventory has been in a long time

Then perhaps the problem is with you and not the system? LOL.

More to the point, you can use your extra useless tomes of knowledge in another way: create a new char, level him up, get the level-up rewards, perhaps do even story until level 10 to get that black lion key, then use his skill points for something, delete the char and repeat. This seems like the best way to use extra tomes, at least at the moment.

Pure $$$ track would be awesome.

You could have upgraded T4 snowflakes to T5 snowflakes. 80 SP would give you like 30 – 40g profit. Not the best way to make money with skill points but it was pretty fast. Also there are still enough ways to make money with skill points, you just need to see them and sometimes accept that you won’t get that much money per skill point if you really want to get rid of them

I made 2k gold from 1,5k skill points for 2 weeks is that long i dont think so!

So as people have already mentioned, you can make money from skill points.
Transmutation charges on the other hand…

he just wants to pvp, he deosnt want stuff to fill his inventory. He doesnt want to make trips to merchants. He just wants a reward track that rewards him with little tid bits. As someone who sitting on tons or lvl up scrolls,tobs, 8 mini queen jennas and a bunch lvl to 20 scrolls.

I like the idea of reward tracks that reward lets just say 5g at the end of the track and 25 silver per quarter. Or a track that is blank because after the collections ap rewards from dungeons there is not a ton of incentive to play the tracks.

You seems to not know how to effectively manage the goods that some game modes are offering.

Before posting your thoughts about something that is useless for you, make sure that it is not useless for majority.

i can see the pile up of level tomes being obnoxious for some. it would be cool to leave them out of one or two tracks and keep them in the rest, like the dungeon tracks for instance.

What comes to managing goods offered in other game modes, I’m perfectly aware of the methods to convert them to gold If I so choose. Problem is, this is incredibly time consuming. Not to mention opening, clicking and micro-managing piles of loot bags is, quite frankly, an extremely tedious task.

This applies to both WvW and PvE though, why don’t we make dungeons and WvW just drop gold? Most of the drops are stuff we’d just convert to gold anyway, not to mention opening, clicking and micro-managing piles of loot bags is, quite frankly, an extremely tedious task.

As far as I know, it’s been a while since Tomes of Knowledge gave skill points.

Now they dont do anymore. Which is sad tbh.

Why do so many of you think that PvP rewards should be converted to gold via PvE methods ? I say it should not and you should have just as much opportunity PvPing earning a living in GW as PvEing. If it means converting something into gold it should be a capable function in the heart of the mists not in a PvE realm.

I agree with the post insomuch that we get lots of drops in PvP that just don’t work for PvPer’s.

That’s the thing though, they AREN’T PvE methods, these methods are global throughout every aspect of the game. If you want to make money, then put the effort it to make it rather then doing whatever you want and expecting money to pop out of thin air.

And let’s not forget that you get a set amount of silver per game anyway.

Heck, ANet just introduced a way to remove any individuality in player appearance from the game for the PvP players!

You can still buy skins on the TP with gold, which can be used in PvP. You can also buy gems for skins, or buy components to make a legendary, which is a fancy skin, etc. It’s all about aesthetics.

I have bought 2 extra bank slots holding up chests of armor boxes weapon boxes. I am really getting tired of so many chests at this point. Plz a completely sellable track would be nice if not just a money track.
