Please, please nerf crowd control
CC is outta hand, hard cc especially and aoe cc. One of the main problems is that gw2 has no mechanic in place to prevent stunlocking. A dimishing returns for example.
Increasing stability access would not be a solution. Actually certain classes already have wayyy to good access to stability. It would only cause moar power creep.
They could remove nightmare runes, that would be a major help. When there are 3 reapers on the other team, and all are running nightmare runes, it’s just silly. Elementalist shocking aura could also use a rework, and gravity well. And I’m still the only one bothered by DH CC but I’ll mention it here anyway.
Nerf all Aoe hard cc spam, and the plethora of Stability spam, and pvp would be a lot more fun
Too little rather than too much stunlocking in the current meta – only mesmer (moa) does so currently. I wish CC warriors (mace or hammer) made a return.
CC is like conditions – your character take a probably-fatal dose of but then takes a bit of time before going down, it’s nicer in a way than power burst because you can notice what was happening and what you died from, instead of just reading the log afterwards.

but it’s also a way for extremely unskilled players to make up for their lack of talent. when you can spam AoE CC, it doesn’t matter if you manage your cooldowns properly, understand your rotation, or know what your opponent is thinking. it’s one reason why so many noob reapers and mesmers make it into ruby / diamond. it completely takes the skill out of the game, and the skill out of using CC in general. CC is supposed to be intelligent, powerful, and scarce. but at the moment it is the background radiation of every match. we approaching Amy Rose levels from Sonic: Adventure Battle 2. I don’t think adding more stunlock would make sPvP any more inviting

I think the main problem is AoE CC combined with AoE damage.
AoE skills are fine WHEN they are coupled with risk. Take for example Elementalist meteor shower: the meteor shower works as a channel. The channel roots you in place and prevents you from using any other skill (defensive or otherwise). When you break the channel, the AoE effect of meteor shower is stopped.
Another great example is warriors Hundred Blades: you’re rooted and vulnerable, but you can deal great aoe damage. Hundred Blades is weaker than meteor because on top of the root and channel, you only hit in 1 direction AND it’s melee range.
Thus, change AoE skills that do not have risk tied to them. On top of that change all AoE stuns into single-target stuns.
Bottom line: ArenaNet need to learn not to give everyone everything. That’s the mistake they have been making. They think that by adding lots of everything to every class (especially in elite specs) makes the game “fun” and “balanced”. In reality it makes the game a clusterkitten and destroys balance.
They need to revert stability.

I prefer CC instead of condi crap we have right now. CCs you can see, there are no passive CC procs (except revenant taunt). Unlike condis that you seemingly catch easier than an STD >.>
CCs make the game more interesting than the passive death you get from conditions.
