i agree afk players are annoying. i dont want to play with certain people and since mm doesnt care id love to leave in that case im matched with them. but that option on the bottom right screen just doesnt work. after a while i disconnect, because i dont move. but when im logging in again, even with another char, im put in the match again.

I already have the backpiece. I still don’t understand those afkers that give up after the first minute of the game. Especially when they blame the loss on the rest of the team afterward, even if they were the one not playing at all. And especially when the game could have been salvaged if they have shown any spine at all instead of just wanting an easy blowout like some seem to think should be their due.
(also, they really should have the decency to at least disconnect for over 2 minutes, but no, they will stay in the game, just in case the team they so easily abandoned will manage to carry them anyway).

I’ve never seen anyone AFK after only 1 min. Maybe if we lose all 3 caps and have died a bunch of times and the enemy starts closing in on our base, but it’s understandable then.

It’s not up to anyone except the scoring system to determine that the game is “lost.”

And it is against the rules to intentionally throw a match. I could start a match and die once at a point, throw my hands in the air and say “we lost gg” and then afk for the next 495 points, and it is no different than when you quit at 300. Whether you afk’d at 5 points or 300, you are still throwing the match by refusing to play.

I have no idea who you are , but i assume you have little experience in pvp and strugling to win games and u chose to blame the afk player.
Im trying to explain u that MM is bad and in some cases really really bad, that even before ga starts there is a team that has bigger chances to win and should win.

Now the reason a player would afk at 300-70 with no capps and team is perma down and feeding 1 by 1, is to save time , U CANT WIN SUCH GAMES.
I have games that i win 1vs2 far and my team dies at mid in seconds.
I know the game is only lost when the other team reaches 500.
But some players dont need to wait untill the other team reaches 500 to understand this, no 1 is trowing the game they know the game its lost they accept the outcome that is all.
People just die when heart stops right?
Why there is people with stage four caa a n c e r or wtv other desiese going to switzerland on porpuse to take a lethal injection?
They are still alive right? Why they want to die?
Well they dont, but they know the outcome and they know they have only a few month left of pain, so they choose to die before time.
Same ingame , some players can see this and choose to afk to end the game faster.
After 24 000 + pvp games u will understand this.

So yes instead of lobbing to fix the problem on why these victims afk after the score is 125-350 or such, yall are lobbing to shoot the injured victims while they are down instead of helping them back to full health. Calling us children for accepting the inevitable and ending the tormate quicky, to get on to what hopes to be a fun and competitive next match.

And please the people that are yelling at these victims are the worst children in GW2. How kittening dare yall after getting effortless win streaks due to MM yall getting mad because these victims are now just submitting to yall.

Why do you assume that the afker is the most skilled player in the group? Most often, he isn’t. He is just someone that got used to blowing enemies over, and gives up at the smallest sign that the game will be difficult. I have seen many games that could have been won if only the afker played at the same level as other players.

Just saw your edit. I don’t think anyone would get a dishonored buff (which stacks duration if repeated) just for someone WHO DID DESERVE losing pips, not lose them.

Anyone who goes AFK in a match should get kicked out of the match with dishonor they should lose the Pip and the rest of the team should lose no pips and treat it as a d/c.

If the person is already AFK and resigned to lose why dont they just d/c from the match and save their teammates the pips.

Hell you could even remove their dishonor debuff so they can join another game right away this would save them even more time which afkers claim is so precious and finite to them. By removing dishonor debuff and allowing them to join a new game right away it could lower que times potentially for others as well.

Some of you guys seem extremely determined to punish.
Just today I had a match where my whole team went AFK, I was dueling one of the enemy at home while his team looked on. It didn’t bother me they went AFK because the match was an absolute loss. In a situation like that why does it bother you if someone decides to sit out.

Because they feel like they are intitled to being carried and waste you little time. I bet many afkers would be fine with backing out of a match to save yall’s pips if dishoner wasn’t around. Yall already lost from losing 3 v 1 to ONE kitten PLAYER. GG I mean if you can’t win a 1v1 and if you can’t win a team fight because yall instantly die at mid over and over again. What right do you man childs have to say “play this lost cause or get punished”.

It’s like these people just want to enslave others in game as they do IRL.

Class staking
Players with 0 clue and awereness
Pugs vs premades
( and then this is why we get afkers)

Now im not talking about top players , because those will reach legend in the first week due to good play and beeing in a party, now a casual player that is decent will reach legend in 3-4 weeks EVEN WITH ALL THOSE PROBLEMS I WROTE ABOVE, so if u r still stuck , im sorry to tell you but , its time to look at your game play and stop blaming everything else.

See? Don’t you love it when people automatically assume that the Thief is permanently downed? It can’t possibly be anyone else’s fault.

Thieves ask for buffs so they can actually fight and win, but no, that would be unfair to everyone else. So Thieves are left weak in 1v1 situations, and are even worse in team fights. But let’s blame the Thief for not making it a 4v4 at Mid where he’ll melt.

You’d think that 24,000 games would teach someone something constructive. But I guess that won’t teach humility, empathy, or compassion. All it proves is that someone is wasting their life in front of a computer screen.

Instead of looking at it from the perspective of the majority (4 compared to 1), who are actually trying to win even until the last moment no matter the score, they instead only care for their own desires to get into the next match sooner. They don’t care that their teammates are trying to accomplish something… even if they themselves have nothing to left accomplish.

So yes, if you have nothing left to gain from PvP, don’t play PvP.
If you are the best that you can be, with no room for improvement, and you still are not good enough, then don’t play PvP… or get your own 5-man premades with the agreement that you can afk when the game is considered unwinnable.

If you play 24,000 matches and you are still that selfish, I would suggest you need more help than with a silly game. I don’t even want to imagine what your real life personality is.
