Now I’m not usually one to complain on pvp forums but I felt to need to voice my complaints this time around. I consider myself ok at pvp and I managed to reach diamond in both season 1 and 2. I play a mesmer and I’ve reached both those stages solely with mesmer. Season 3 however is a nightmare with the teammates I’m being given.
Examples include but not limited to;
A dh jumping (literally) into a swarmed mid costing us the game.
A thief that kept trying to bunk mid for some reason.
All 4 teammates staying in mid and not moving.
A warrior who refuses to stomp for some religious or otherwise stupid reason.
I’m in sapphire which is where I placed so if that’s where I belong according to season 3 whatever, but would it kill the MMR to place me with teammates that know what they’re doing?
This season’s MM is awful. I shouldn’t be below 50% win rate in Emerald. I’ve consistently played at ruby or higher up until now. But I’m getting matches against others that are clearly better than emerald too…but my teammates are constantly playing as if they just got out of amber.
It’s as if keeping me near a 50/50 win rate is more important than letting me get to where I should naturally settle…and it’s kittening up my ability to climb tiers because I can’t get on a streak at all because I’m always having to attempt a carry of a crappy team who doesn’t cycle, doesn’t +1, just runs to mid and spams away on a tank until dead.
Last season I had 8-10 win streaks constantly as I went from amber up to ruby. I can’t win more than 2 in a row before I’m saddled with stupidity OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
Every win I have is when I clearly have skilled teammates and we win like 500-200 (or less). Every loss, I carry 4 baddies and we lose like 500-400 (or more).
I have a million stories like this. Start match with tempest and 2 hammer scrapper, not one field to burst pre-match. Thieves who don’t blast field when it’s there. Support ele going straight to treb on Kyhlo. Support ele attempting beast solo on Forest. Warrior going straight to Lord at the start of the match and going back to die nonstop for the remainder. Losing teams that refuse to attempt lord when it’s the only chance at winning. Thieves who join a team fight at the tail end of a wipe instead of going to decap an open point. Every match is a blowout, no fun win or lose. This is season 3.

I’m either given FREE wins handed to me on a silver platter where I win 100-500 3 capping nearly the entire game or I’m given completely uphill imbalanced matches where I have to try my heart out and end up BARELY losing because the team is stacked against mine hard.
