PvP team: If you exist communicate!
I wouldn’t get my hopes up for any big changes regarding class balance, especially not with elite specs since it is highly likely they were made op on purpose (gotta get those sales in). Most you can expect given the track record is a bunch of small number adjustments.
Also they just disband the team working on legendary weapons, do you really think they will spare a team for a lobby rework? The only thing that might get an improvement is the matchmaking but thees other things you pointed i can wager on not happening.
I agree that based on dev posts on this forum MM is the most likely to see some improvements. Thanks Evan!
I don’t think the other parts I mentioned are asked too much though. What was the team working on in the past months? Or is there no team?
Since you mentioned the lobby remake. I find they could be a lot more clever by just using the new guildhalls also as PvP lobby maps. Just remove all the guild stuff and replace it with the usual PvP vendor NPCs/golems/etc. A dueling arena would be nice but could be postponed if it is too much work. How would this be much work?
Would have some nice variation if you sometimes enter Gilded Hollow and sometimes Lost Precipice. Why not use existing stuff efficiently? This would actually even better than one completely new PvP lobby since this one would get old after a while. Every new guildhall they create for guild content could also be added to the pvp lobby rotation which makes it feel fresh.

From the post MO posted about a week ago, it seems that he is pulling everyone possible from their current projects and shoving them into the PvE content projects… So I wouldn’t get your hopes up for ANYTHING pvp related outside of extremely minor tweaks.
We all know the game needs a serious revamp on many weapons and skills that have been left in the dust by power creep, were never actually useful in the first place,or were originally fine but made useless b/c the balance team has their heads up their kitten cough ranger spirits cough

It’s disappointing that so many options are just not viable. I’d love to be able to take literally any weapon set and use any of the skills that are available to the classes, and use them in PvP.

It’s not the fact that many of the weapons or skills aren’t useful in PvP… It’s the fact that many of the weapon/skills aren’t useful in any format of the game as other builds/skills will completely outclass them at their intended job. Everything doesn’t need to be best at something, it only has to be viable, and as it currently stands very little is actually viable.
Honestly, I dread these balance sweeps: cutting skills effects in half, reducing cooldowns by 60%, completely ignoring fundamental issues with certain classes. This isn’t really balance.
They just force the meta. It’s pretty toxic IMO.
