Stability is so cheesy, especially when certain classes have so much of it. I want to set up a trap, and it requires skill to time a trap or other ability. u should be rewarded… period!

But with all the junk cc flying everywhere to remove stability without any of the tweaks would be insane.

So here is my proposition:

1. Give players a similar ability as bosses in pve. The defiance thing. When you get so many applications of cc/stuns/etc within a certain time frame, it grants you some level of cc immunity.

2. remove junk cc abilities from classes and give them a couple of cc options that have to be used skillfully.(prepatch it was pretty good, could use some fine tuning)

This way traps and stuns etc are a precision tool requiring skill. It works well with dodge and you have this balance of dodge, cc, and damage.

Every class would be able to beat every other class without large discrepancies like there are now. Also being outnumbered would be more tolerable in certain skirmishes.

I believe with these changes, the dmg levels look a lot more appealing.

Although defience would work fine, stability usage encourages more skillful play amd timing. WvW for example would be a mess.

I disagree, stability requires you to properly predict and time it while helping the enemy predict pushes. It also has counters with boon-strip.

so replace stab with a defiant bar so players don’t have to use stab and stunbreaks well? sounds you want passive play easy mode.

(the only stab i play with for either class is rampage and i do fine with just stunbreaks)

As a condi necro i feel so much joy when i see cele ele or guardian comming my way. Because necros have this wonderfull thing when they corrupt boons. And then you watch them die from their own boons. Lawl.

One thing I do agree on is that there is way too much boon hugging and not enough boon counters. You pretty much just have signet necro. Thief/Mesmer boon removal isn’t much of a counter when it’s just used for focused burst.

Classes such as Guardian or Elementalist are Boon dependent.

Meddling with boons would require to work those classes as well.

Id be for this, but this game doesnt give out cc like wow does. Its more erratic and the game is balanced around 5v5. If cc removal was stack based it would sometimes uselessly dissapear instantly or sometimes last longer than stability does.

Damage vs tanking healing and mobility seems to be the focus over wows stuns vs stuns removal and thats not a bad thing.
