Damage mitigation is soo cheesy in this game.
what are these ‘skill-less’ ways to mitigate damage that aren’t obvious to the attacker, outside of stacking passive damage reduction stats of course, b/c most are in love with those?
I mean, watch ESLs/past WTS’s, watch what happens if someone invulnvs on a timer or something. They get blown TF up after it. Just time your punishment. Damage in this meta is higher than it’s ever been I wouldnt worry about punishment apparently you need to practice landing it.
Not sounding rude or at least trying to. But you know the mist from vamp, just time your burst, but dont use all CD’s for it cause some thieves dodge right out of it expecting that burst.
Idk, timing i guess. This is a dps heavy meta with true zerk PU mesmers, medi guards, and all this Cele running around everything has damage spikes.
…But there are so many stupid skill-less ways to mitigate damage.
I thought this game had the most skillfull way of mitigating damage. Most games dont even have that option. It’s all facetanking. But I guess I’m wrong..
You are punished through having those skills going on CD (and therefore not being available for later). There is no need to have an active punishment for mistiming a skill, because the punishment comes from your foe.
imo he means that the are a lot of instant mitigations, where you can perform actions under the duration. and yepp i find this lame too.
I sort of agree that players can spend a long time being untouchable. Guardians, Warriors, Mesmers especially…
It gets kind of obnoxious to have a player be like block block block immune immune immune miss invulnerable invulnerable block block – WILL YOU PLEASE TAKE SOME DAMAGE NOW?
That being said, I will take this over games where you just…get targeted and take the damage. Period. Like WoW and FFXIV.
