Ressurect skills in pvp

Warbanner is a 2 sec cast time, is stationary and only resurrects on cast once.

I understand that there are some counters to it but interrupting a 1s / 1.5s cast time isn’t very easy versus tough opponents in a clutter filled arena. Something this powerful needs to have an easier counter. Specially as it take very little skill to use in the first place.
Earthquake, updraft, piercing arrows, hammer aoe, fear mark, etc It is the most predictable rez skill of all the rez skills.

Banner Warrior’s, are more painful they pop stab followed with banner res. I play Spirit Ranger, and I know for fact my elite is always getting interrupted its getting to the point where I’m using it as regen and condition wipes. Most of the time I won’t get the Spirit Res off, team’s are catching on to fast. Lazy team’s will always have problem’s, but yes sometimes in clutch moments the spirit ranger will get off a res getting up 3 player’s turning the fight and winning. That right there isn’t a problem with the Spirit that’s called skill.
E.g. other day I went down after getting ganked on a point, rather then stomping me they just burst on me, my spirit died thanks to that res’ed me just as I res’ed 2 team mates came in we wiped and held a 3 cap.
So I personally can’t see how this spirit is a problem where there is far more counter play to it the any other res skill in the game. Also after the recent update all CC now effects the spirit unlike before where you could run into team fight and get away with blue murder and res right under all the cc.

The fact that there is counter-play for the Elite Spirit rez does not absolve it from being over budget. The passive is too strong, targeting in the midst of at least 3 (usually more) other AI elements is clunky, the cast is far too short and the auto-cast on death is inconsistent with any other rez mechanic in game. The only reason why it doesn’t appear to be a major problem is because Ranger not very well put together otherwise.
The Spirits are currently acting as a crutch that props Ranger up. They need to nuclear nerf all the passive BS on Rangers and buff their damage capabilities/fix their weapon sets to make them better. You have to do both at the same time, because if you fix the spirit without fixing the weapons then Ranger will just disappear.

What are you on about. It has a 1 second cast time. Signet of undeath was A PLAYER SKILL and had a 2 second cast and that got nerfed. I never got interrupted with signet of undeath. Or rarely. Now try interrupting something with a cast time only half as long. It is so difficult. They need to make the res spirit have a cast time on its res of at least 2 seconds.

Seen as you play ranger you would of known that spirit’s have to finished there y-x movement right, which is around .5 of a second.

At this point I would gladly forgo skill in favour of just having fun in mists pvp.

Killing stuff and then some spirit does a turbo res which is 3 times as quick as any player character can do really is the lamest thing ever

You cant say the whole class is broken cause of a broken build..Can a power Ranger do that?Can jump in and passively kill ppl?No..Does every Ranger enjoy playing the spirit build that makes you sleep on your keyboard?No…What Rangers have been asking since release and never getting it?Range Dmg, a real range threat..Not “heres a power Ranger lets nuke him to see numbers”.We are not thieves to stealth(exept a 3sec stealth every 9,5sec) and we are not Mesmers or Ele to teleport out of combat..Some of our pets have some wonderfull skills that we cant control to support team..You cant say in team “hey stop moving and go close to Moa,i think it will start healing you in a sec” or “hey dude i need a cleanse remove”,“ill send my bear close to you,stand still for 1 sec…..ok now you got 1 cond removed”
Res utilities should be flat out banned in sPvP. There’s too much defensive mechanic abuse and passive sustain going on already, why prolong and make the game look passive, defensive, and boring.

What I wanted to say is that the concept of the class fails in this game. Why? Because in every meta the Ranger will be forced to play passive-builds, due to their effectiveness. It’s not that (like in GW1) you have to waste a skill to bring a pet. Here you have it constantly there. Same with the traits. Many of them create passive-play. Playing a bad build doesn’t justify it.
