Reward Solo Queue Tournament Players
just separate the groups.
5 vs 5 only
4 + 1 vs 4 + 1 only
3 + 2 vs 3 + 2 only
2 + 2 + 1 vs 2 + 2 + 1 only
1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 vs 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 only
now we got 5 different groups. dun mix them together now.
the problem is to find enough players for all groups.
the situation we have now is that, often
its like this:
5 vs 4 + 1
5 vs 3 + 2
5 vs 2 + 2 + 1
5 vs 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1
so the teams on the right side usually get treated real nicely.
but sometimes
4 + 1 vs 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1
does not mean the right side team will lose also.

Yep u got a good point. I guess its not an automatic win for premades and an automatic lost for solo-q’ers, but I’m referring to a proper solo-q team (1+1+1+1+1) and a proper premade team (5). I didn’t consider all the permutations inbetween, but I’d still say solo-q’ers should get different incentives if the whole team is solo-q.
I guess for all this to really make sense, its back to the old argument that the queues need to be seperated. Ah wells can only wait and hope.

been waiting 3months+ now for a split between solo and premades.
- 5man premades vs 5man premades
- 4/3 man groups , should search for 1-2 people more
( creating more 5man premade groups for the 5man premade Q, triggering it faster)
- solo Q’ers and 2man groups put together
( but chance for the 2man groups to be split once match starts , so its always random and you can end up against a friend, no team switching allowed…)
thats 2 Q groups, that anet needs to implement.
And gl to them if they think they’ll find a better system that produces 5man groups and doesnt make solo players quit.
its that or a real voice chat so the solo players can communicate same way like premadesgroups can. and i think its harder for them to implement a real voicechat.
Probably Anet will go for two groups:
1_ solo queue (only solo)
2_ other compositions
And i think it’s the best way right now for this game. Population is too low to split bracket in many groups, so you need to consider what people want in according with the population viability.
Soloqueue reward and team reward need to be different, people must enjoy soloqueue and they need to receive appropriate rewards.
But this game is a team game so people need to be incentivated to make a full 5 people team, because with this full 5 people team you can play better and receive better rewards than soloqueue.
Splitting queue and new pvp rewards need to be done at the same time.
5 ppl full premade and soloq only.
No 2+3 pugs and stuff like that, just split premades and solos…if you want to go premade you need a full team otherwise you can go alone only. 2 different leaderboards and it’s done. Doesn’t seem so hard to understand…or maybe i’m just overestimating those devs…we already had team arenas and random arenas in gw1…is it really…REALLY so hard to get?
In a few months we’re going to be here reading threads about how queues are way too long..
