Anyone who has <100 games played (that’s everyone right now as far as I know) has a pretty inaccurate rating anyway. Even 100 is pretty meh when randomness plays such a large factor imo.

I’m just sifting the 10-20 game people out when I look at the leaderboard right now. Once people start hitting 100 games, I’ll be ignoring the rating of anyone who has less. It’s still too luck based, not to mention those first few games will largely be in the ‘average’ bracket and will pump your rating by more than a regular game, due to glicko.

Just because someone occasionally lands in a random team doesn’t mean they aren’t syncing at other times. Not saying they are, but you can’t rule it out based on that.

You’re correct. The point is that the reverse is also correct. Just because someone occasionally lands in a stacked team doesn’t mean they’re syncing.

Well, they seem to be landing in stacked teams pretty frequently. It also seems like the top players get matched up vs people lower than them instead of mixing them up between two teams. Also, if the system was working correctly, the top players would have 55-60% win rates max for the most part.

Not until they start playing against each other more, which won’t happen much at <20 games. People just sound jealous to me. I didn’t expect people to pull 85%, but then, I didn’t expect to pull 60%. If I can do that, I definitely know a few players who could do 85.

Syncing in GW1 was not perfect but you had a very high chance of getting most of your group. Same in GW2, so if you see a group with a random no name thats just the randomness of syncing.

Those screen shots 100% people are syncing no doubt, lying about it that’s just sad. Anet did not stop syncing in GW1 did not ban anyone for doing it so no point in lying.

Just vsed two top one hundred players, a decent player, and two baddies. I can start taking screenshots of good players in ‘unstacked’ teams if a few screenshots are considered evidence.

Considering the pool of top 25 players is…. 25, that some of them will play at X time and some of them will play at Y time, it’s going to happen occasionally.

Also, seeing as Eurantien is one of those players, and when he was playing those early games he had at least one close match vs an anet guy (who went like 10 and 0 himself, must be syncing right?) which they were discussing in heart of the mists afterwards, I’m gonna guess that you just got unlucky.

Wanting the leaderboard to reflect accuracy and not people cheating to
get where they don’t deserve and ruining other peoples ratings are two
different things.

I think everyone wants the syncing to end along with leaderboards being fixed. But Anet doesn’t hasn’t had a stance since GW2 and already said the Rosters are hidden and its not possible.

No one I know of is syncing. I’ve been queued with good players in back to back matches and also with bad players in back to back matches (rank 14 power ranger… you know who you are).

Calling players out like this seems kind of wrong imo. Especially when we were not syncing.

Seems like we were kind of accused of syncing. To be honest, I have tried syncing once with a friend and they ended up on the other team.

I don’t know how to edit picture or I would replace them. Simply showing a team that was syncing and got the same team 3 hours apart.

Look at this pic, a previous game I just played.

Notice all 5 of those players are in top 50 of leaderboards. I’m at 300, the people I played with are around me or worse. That’s entirely kittened up they have to be syncing or this matchmaking is so kitten stupid to put 5 top 50 players against people 300-700 on leaderboards. Keldorz rank 14, davinci got banned rank 11, only happy kid rank 35, uhiwi rank 36, dugen x rank 45.

You know why they got such outstanding win loss ratio? because they play teams 300 ratings below them, while they always have people super good rating with them as well.

SYNC or NO SYNC….ANET IS A FAIL in the matchmaking and fairness department.
STOP putting me against AN ENTIRE TEAM OF 1-50 on leaderboards while my team is 300+ in the ratings.

The matchmaking does seem a little off, but the syncing accusations need a lot more evidence before people start including names imo.

I agree on that, Matchmaking seems terrible.

Yeah I’ve been posting here while trying to dodge getting paired with the same terrible far point camping DPS guard who has been in my team the last 5 or so rounds. I’m having a horrible run. Just lost a game where I was winning 1v2s constantly and a 1v3 once on skyhammer cannon.

Wow… so you are calling other people liars and still directly contradict your own statements? Compare the bold statements in the quote to the picture in this post https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/SYNC-s-gotta-go-Pictures/page/2#post2588694 and ofc to other statements in this forum.

You know that what you’re doing here without any evidence is called slander, a suable offense in the offline world (and even online, at least in Germany for things that are more important than game rankings)?
And no, the two screenshots in the opening post can not be considered as evidence.
Pretty much all official gaming forums do also not allow calling out other players. That’s what report forms are for. I’m quite baffled that ANet has not yet deleted or at least closed this thread.

Don’t get me wrong: I am very opposed to both syncing and using VoIP tools in the solo queue, but threads as this one are just inappropriate.

The only problem with syncing is if they use TS, because that gives the big advantage. Otherwise they’re still on the same playing field as the opposing team (if the MM did his work correctly). Yes, they might have a better setup but when you get into the higher ratings people will mostly be able to swap characters to optimize the team comp.

I have been put with my guildie while we weren’t even trying to sync. I had a 5min timer and he had a 1min timer for soloq and we still got together on a team. I mean… you can’t expect me to wait until he’s in a game to queue?

I’d suggest they revisit the MMR to see if they can ‘randomise’ it a bit more but I think we just need more time before a match starts so we have time to get a decent team comp going and communication options (atleast some basic commands).

It’s a bit too much. U can even appear to be syncing without even trying, just by queueing after the match ends.
And even if Arena.net fixes the algorithm and it’s more random (because right now if u queue with a close rating friend u will most likely get in the same roster), solo leaderboards will still be a joke. After all it’s a team game.
And now what will happen with the team queue, 20 minutes queue’s again ?

And why it’s so important the competitive thing, because the game is awesome, or it isn’t ?
