Well that’s odd. So when you aren’t wearing any condi duration does it tic only 2 times?Maybe it always tics 3 times and with condi duration it tics 4 it’s just a tooltip error or something. In which case. Nerf!

Sun Spirit is meant to be 2 seconds long. You need 45% duration to get 3 seconds of burning currently you can take 35% duration and get 4 seconds of burning duration.
Funny right.

That bug has been like that for Incendiary Power, Dhumfire, sun spirit, and even the dodge roll heals for guards are increased alot whenever you are in the mists for a long time now
everything is increased for some reason
Nope, its same in game’s it does 4 ticks of burning…..

I think it’s because the skill base duration is actually 3sec and not 2sec. BUG.
So with 0.35% u get to 4sec.
One of the new updates broke the Sun Spirit and reverted it back to old self.

I think it should stay the way it is now. It is a very weak skill. Spirit dies in 3 hits anyway.
HotM is treated as a PvE Area (Not sure why tbh), therefore the durations you’re seeing on golems are the PvE values. Try testing on a hotjoin server. If it still has a 3 sec base duration then yeah… It’ll need a fix.

^ Seemingly so, I’d just assumed it was similar to the dhuumfire difference. Ignore my previous post.
I’m rather disappointed.
I wish they would Hot Fix bugs.

lol at this. Obviously needs fixing but this is actually a terrible thing to tell them about.
This is how they operate:
1, lets fix this bug
2, Ok now we fixed this bug lets leave this kitten build in the game even longer just to check to see how the bug fix impacts the meta (lol a meta when nobody good plays anymore)
3, 6 months later a 0.1% nerf to spirit ranger
This is what they did with warrior with the sigil of paralysation fix. No warriors even ran it but they wanted to see what effect it had (lol). So well played for telling them. You condemned this game to another 12 months of spirit ranger getting in the way of everything.

Don’t forget about 0 in gw2, it still counts as a second.
For clarification this is a bug that is ONLY affecting shortbow, at least for rangers. When I trigger sun spirit proc with shortbow i get 3 ticks of burning. When I trigger sun spirit proc with any other ranger weapon I only get 2 ticks of burning. Hopefully that helps track things down.

That’s odd….
The only thing I could think that maybe would cause an issue like that would be if the check to apply the bleed on shortbow counted as a hit itself..As it’d check to see if you’re behind the target before applying.
