It’s been on my mind for quite some time.
I know hitbox size and other stuff is the same no matter size, race, etc.
Still, a tiny asura is harder to notice compared to a huge norn in some situations.
And it’s not a l2p issue (like targeting the biggest thing on the map because it’s scarier, etc), it’s just about visuals and visual effects. Sometimes I feel I just need binoculars to see what a really small asura is doing (based on the animation).
It would be good if we had the option to force the game to display characters of same size (even race) on the client side.
I think this would make all those claims about real or imaginary advantages derived from race/size go away.

you mean like force player models in quake?

yeah that’s alright, on the subject of stuff being hard to see i think the game actually needs brighter maps

I’ve said it before: why not just add named cast bars?
As an interface toggle, use it or don’t use it…

Wiggely, wobbely and other wombaty wabbity creatures…

I’m all for a cast-bar,

but yeah, that’s why I prefer playing small characters in MMOs. People tend to ignore them in Zergs.

Except for Gnomes in WoW. The Horde really hated them with a passion for some reason and went out of their way to stomp them.

In WoW nothing took aggro more than a moonkin.
Why?
Because of the size…

In zergs it’s true that the smaller one has a slight advantage, but massive zerg fights have their own rules, like combine aoe so they ALL get hurt.
I can live with the small differences there.

It’s another issue when you can’t see the animations well enough on small characters, in small fights…

Wiggely, wobbely and other wombaty wabbity creatures…

Always kill the Asura first. It will discourage people from picking them if they feel they get targeted more often than other races.

The fact that you changed your strategy based on their visual representation of their character is win for their team.

All guardians should roll Asuran apparently

Who said anything about winning? I’m talking about dead asura.
