I feel it’s probably obvious, but in case I wasn’t clear in my initial post: remaining stealthed with no way to break yourself out keeps you from being able to neutralize/capture which results in lost time and missed point ticks.
Gw2 is the first game i have played where i cant do that
Same for me. I have for the most part learned to be very careful about putting myself in that situation, but it still happens occasionally and frustrates me.
move out of refuge?
Delete thief class from the game?

yes, yes, yes. So many times i sit on point for 30 sec waiting for SR to turn off =/.
every time i am about to have this issue all i do is dodge roll so a bomb hits the downed.

Leaving stealth to cap a point would be nice at times. The kittening about Thieves has already caused bizare game changes. Allowing us to decap faster would make it worse.
If I understand correctly Engi’s can now invis longer than thieves. Rangers have pretty frequent access to stealth as well. The new "revealed’ idea makes SR, HiS and etc largely non viable as a defense.
At this point I get outshone on stealth by Engis in dungeon running.
Basically every time stealth is modified it’s made less accessible and less useful. Let’s not encourage yet another nerf .

youre doin it wrong then, teef is way more useful at stealthing. engi can do 1/2 the skips, which is usually enough.

I would even be satisfied with a simple “stealth won’t change because we believe x, y, and z would be affected”

theres several in arah where you can sr in the middle of running, after smoke walling to start it off. cm too, that last skip to get to frost/centaur boss. and prolly for the 5 barrels too, but i dont do cm enough. its all just way smoother with a thief, but its not like you really need stealth, ever… as long as you arent a bad dodger. i can get myself to abom in p2 arah stealthless, on engi. its just… not something i really want to do.

It is the pro and con for using Stealth in this gamemode. It is the decision you chose to stay in SR and refuse to leave it or attack your enemy. If anything that needs improvement it is the gamemode not the Stealth. I play Thief and play with other Thiefs. Some Thief was trying to double stomp with me while he putting down SR on the down body on the point but I know the consequent of it so I have to move out of SR and move back to stay on point or the down body will cap or decap the point. So whose fault was that? If anything it is the Thief’s fault for not knowing his own action.

One of the arguments I initially made was that there are many times you get stealthed through no fault of your own and can’t undo it. That’s a poor design choice imo.
The problem still lies on you you could choose to move out but you didn’t and let it happened anyway.
I don’t see why you view it as a problem to allow players the ability to leave stealth. You’re playing devil’s advocate with no supporting argument.

no no no & no. I always end up duelling thieves in PvP and they like to drop their stealth and try and be crafty. Well the upside of perm stealth in PvP is that, although they can always dis-engage from my Guard, they can’t cap while they do so. It is a balancing mechanic. If thieves want to perm stealth then fine but there are consequences to it.
I do think that an option for secondary friendlies (i.e. those that did not apply the stealth but were affected by a team mate’s stealth) is perfectly acceptable though.
