Guild Wars 2

Many games have a surrender option where the team can agree to surrender a match that seems hopeless.

In gw2 this would help save time on those bad matches and no dishonored if entire team agrees.

They have gettered so much experience from previous game and then they decided to trash most of it and do the opposite in this one.

I really want this aswell…. I just got matched with 2 thieves, 1 ranger, 1 necro and 1 mesmer against 1 war, 1 guard, 1 ele, 1 thief, 1 necro. We didn’t have any bunker and got kitten d. The enemy team just kept killing us and two of us didn’t even get to score a kill cause of this…

OR anet just needs to learn to balance teams, which obviously they are incapable at.

i do think we need a surrender button, the only problem is that it’d have to have some way of preventing exploits.
I.E 2 premades take it in turns to trade surrenders, or a premade sinc with 1-2 trolls to force the other team into surrendering for a quick cheap win.

i can’t think of a solution for this, since if you made the winning team get less points if they win via surrender then the losing team could surrender out of spite to stop the better team from getting their full points.

the only solution would be to add the surrender function and for anet to do a better job at banning bots and statpadders.

If I remember correctly it took Anet some time to implement the “/resign” command in GW1, so I guess I’m on the patient side for a surrender option. Although I do really want it.

Although possible, I don’t think two competitive teams (with compatible rankings) will risk a loss for another team. I suppose a smurf guild can do it but the ratings will hardly be impacted since the smurf guild will be really low.

As for trolls ending up on a team, that can already happen. I mean, they could just go afk or leave.

Either I’m misunderstanding you or you’re being paranoid about a feature that can help expediate lopsided matches :-P

ya like in 5v5 dota-like games heroes of newerth type /concede (needs 4 votes) then your team will instant lose cuz prolly they know that their team has no chance of winning
