How is it that TCG and 55 HP Monks get a official thread from Anet on their participation in ToL and ApeX and KpeX do not?

Anyways, Congrats to these 2 teams for showing the scrubs of Tyria what the strongest builds actually are

You can’t really fault them for using the builds they did. They used the most effective comp. Do I like their play style and builds? No, it’s boring to play and watch, with a very low skill cap. However the point of a tournament is to win, and they did what they had to.

I think the tournaments really kinda had different moods… ToL EU twitch chat was probably the most positive twitch chat I’ve ever seen… then ToL NA everyone is bored or complaining because bunker wars 2….

It felt like GW2 could go somewhere during ToL EU, during ToL NA i realized we are still in the same hole.

I disagree. I found ToL NA to be a lot more entertaining to watch. I personally had fun watching it.

No, they simply used the easiest builds to get them the win. Completely understandable, its how competition works, but this wasn’t exactly the pinnacle of competition either. The final was like watching a Brazilian server LoL “championship” game. Sure they’re the best in their region, but that doesn’t mean much.

Same here Jasher I found the node fights in NA really interesting and constant nail biter watching for who made the 1st mistake in the fights btwn Apex and kpz. It was fun seeing NA get the shake down it needed to move the meta forward. Hopefully more teams start popping up and interest rises to take down those at the top.

I just wish that players would complain less and try harder.

There were mistakes made on all sides and the final match apex had the stronger rotations in the end. Still mistakes were made by both teams.

Then lets just have this be the thread. Congratulations Apex, well done.

But is it still PvP when nothing dies?

Anyways, I don’t fault the guys for bringing bunker meta + conquest to its logical conclusion. Everyone had the same chance to do so and they came out on top.

So gratz to them.

What do you mean by “nothing dies”?

If you go back and watch the matches, the average death count in the APeX matches were almost identical to that of the EU finals.
Take Game 3 on Khylo as an example. The kill counts were as follows:

EU
TCG – 14
55HP – 7

NA*
APeX – 14
KPz – 8
*GG was called with 1:40 left, so there was still room for more kills to be obtained by either side.

So… please elaborate because I must have watched a different tournament than you did. :/
