I came to the conclusion that the best players are stuck in Bronze. Because matchmaking is broken and all the good players lose all their games and go on massive lose streaks. The odds are always against them and all the games are uncarriable.

So I think the best players are in bronze around 300-900 MMR range is the best range for maximum MLG skill potential.

Im looking at the leaderboards right now and it dosent mean anything litereally every1 from rank 1 to rank 100 is just bad and somehow magically appeared on the leaderboard.

Can confirm considering I beat you on a node twice in 1 v 1 and once in 1 v 2 yesterday during a Q. Your mechanical skills are bronze-silver tier to be honest.

Unless you have actually done this you are just assuming.

Bronze teammates are a big dice roll. You can end up with decent guys who probably don’t belong there or a bunch of newbies who just want the rewards. It feels very difficult to escape the 50/50 in chances.

Started t1 silver so yeah I’ve had plenty of bronze level team mates. The matcher has a wide variance this season so don’t even say but but you were never truly bronze. While I could only force a 70% win rate compared to 75-80% going through gold it was still easy to move up. Find the competent guy on the team and talk him through the game and you’ll easily break bronze if your skill level deserves to be higher.

Get off your high horse bro. You are the guy who a month ago was crying about DH being op. I’ve played against you many times on your thief you are a good player but to me the fact you got several accounts already in the top 250 tells me the matchmaking is flawed to some extent. Also, the record of the top people tells me there are flaws. I remember the old solo queue and once they nerfed synch queueing people were not winning 70-80% or even more of there games like is happening now even at the very top. Really for the matchmaking to be working correctly even at the top people should be struggling to win more then 55-60% of there games at best after they reach there level. So while I agree that bronze players are generally awful this whole system while a good start still needs lots of tweaks.

Ya, I think its funny that they re made a matchmaking system to better reflect peoples skills instead of just grinding levels, yet they ended up creating another pvp grind for unskilked players to look good.

You can still grind your way up….which means whats the point?

Crappy players are just grinding by playing 100s more games and ending up with the same effective rating as good players that haven’t played as much but have won more….lol…you made a new grinding system for pvp while eliminating the ability to coordinate with a team, PvP sucks now, thanks!

The real monsters are the players who 2-man cap an empty Home while your glass Thief attempts to solo 2 Warrs and an Ele at mid.

i am by no means legendary or gold for that matter i think i am a solid silver i am stuck in bronze hell. i hit 950 fast then have nothing but losses tell i am back at 700. so i ask you guys this if i can get from 700 to 950 fast does it make any kind of since i would fall back to 700 just has fast? around and around i go. its like my mmr is playing with me david you can get to silver thata boy hit 950 mmr say lmfao you thought you would hit silver and smacks me down and says i was just kidding you can do it over and over again lol. all though i think this is a troll thread

So who watched Sindroneer’s stream today? It kind of gives some evidence that skilled play can help you avoid Elo Hell in the first place.

I placed in gold- and I’ve played 2-5 matches a day in ranked and guess what? Still in gold & almost platinum it’s in the middle & I’m okay with that.
On a side note: It’s easy to get out of bronze.

This just comes off arrogant and childish. There are some very good players in bronze and silver. My secondary account is new and got seeded in t2 bronze. It is now in t3 silver after about 30 or so games so I’ve had a chance to play all 3 leagues this season.

I am seeing a mix of beginners and skilled players in bronze, silver, and gold. Your post is degenerate. I am seeing more skill and different play styles in the higher leagues, in general, but not always.

There really is disparity in teams. Playing on a losing team sucks but when you get on a winning team the difference is just huge and it ends up being a joke match.

I’m newish to reaper and am outlasting my teammates way too easy it’s just freakish. Get matches when the skirmishes are completely one-sided it’s moronic. When I’m on the winning team the difference in teammates is so freakish I could probably afk. This isn’t really surprising though. Bronze through gold probably has all sorts of varied player skill that the team with 1 more additional experienced player than the other is going to imbalance a matchup as much as additional DH.

No they don’t. Unless by good players you meant bad players.

I personally couldn’t care less about division, ranking etc. anymore but what really bothers me at this point is that getting decent matches is near impossible. Lop sided matches (500-100, 100-500) are a thing and it just makes pvp unenjoyable. The ranking system and matchmaking exist on first place so it doesn’t happen but somehow i see no improvement this season.

This thread is sure to step on some delicate sensibilities.

You are actually somewhat right, NA leaderboard players would be bronze/silver on EU.

I agree. Well not literally.
I agree that good and even really good or pro-players are stuck in Bronze. But that doesn’t mean that the players in Gold, Plat. and Legendary Divisions are not good.
After my initial 10 ranked games, I was literally cca 7 rank points away from Gold. But since I like to play PvP I play it a lot, but the more I play, the more I run in to a Team that is not capable and that team of mine will eventualy losse the match. Making me, quite a really good player (not ment to be egoistical, I wouldn’t say it about myself if others didn’t speak of me as of one) to lose rating. Now, to get to the point, if that “programme” considered how good I am at Kills/caps/decaps/healing and other important stuff for Team I would still be placed in atleast Silver, even though my team lost. So that is kind of the problem. Many of those players in Bronze (or in any division) suffer a rating loss, because their Team lost, because it just completely ignores how good those players actually were and only judges if their Team won or lost.

Second though,
someone above me was confidentialy saying that he is working his way up the Divisions by casualy playing while “laughing” at the other guy that he plays 15x harder and is in lower divisions. Well, excuse me there, but you just said it your self. Believe it or not but Murphys Law IS an actual thing. Meaning: The more you play the more you run in to incapable teams (trust me you WILL) and therefore the more you lose, the more your rating goes down. I made an experiment, toying with “laws of univers” when I was playing casualy (as the guy said) 1-3 matches per day for 2 weeks, I won EVERY SINGLE one of them. But as I said, I like to play PvP a lot, so when I started playing 10 matches again….bom 7-8/10 matches lost everyday. Try to understand that the more one plays, the more experinece he gets and the better he is (viz. more top stats than the “casual guys” but still lower rating cause of “ops, that worked out”) , but the programme taking care of current rating system just don’t realize that.

please show me one ALMOST Pro level player that is STUCK in bronze.

ESL player never stuck in low division because they will use group q then to pull their mates out of kitten and/or boost their win ratio together, there is also win trading to boost leaderboard a bit etc. and things peoples abuse to look like competitive elites/pros on leaderboards or close to them.

How would it look like a player that everyone thinks is a god stuck in silver or gold etc?

For that anet always have some way for ESL players, group players to have higher win rate than full solo players.

Usually only full solo players like me stuck somewhere. Im still there after a lot of matches where i got placed after full solo placement matches. I win some with players that can play as a team and lose some with terrible teams that cant play the game have 0 teamplay 0focus ( its very punishing especially if playing a necro, others are still in better state as you can play a lot higher survivability characters which can cause a bit of advantage to your team even if they are all low in teamplay skill. ) etc so im stuck without duo q.

I don’t care if i lose a game in good fight but i care if i lose the game without being able to fight because teammates survivability skill is on a worse level or same level than me on necro when focused or my team can’t damage pressure enemies and im the top damage dealer of the team..

Btw. Ask this question again when we only have solo q and everyone goes with the same fair winning chance and no boosting with being able to 2 skilled players group together for a lot higher winning chance.

I also like to see who is the highest rated full solo player that havent played one match in grp.

I’ve done this, I started T2 silver, went down to T2 Bronze, I’ve climbed back out no problem, and I don’t play all that much. Did I mention I’m playing Burn guard for plz too?

Yea if you’re bad. I really don’t get this hype about Eles. Unless its a full heal/support ele, then I literally have no problem defeating them. If its full heal, then the fight won’t end because I’d end up killing their teammate and then its 1v1 with the full heal ele which is just kinda boring. I’d likely lose interest before it ends.

This is outrageous, this is pure blatant match manipulation and needs to be punished! a former ESL player and a current top 10 leaderboard player, paid another team member of mine 200g to D/C after I refused to, that way he does not losing rating. He is too scared to try to actually properly climb the leaderboards, and even with God of PvP Toker from Astral Authority/The Abjured and Wikedtik the only player besides Nos to be in The Abjured and Team PZ on his team, he refused to try to play the game! He paid him to DC so he doesn’t lose rating!! Match manipulation in its purest!!
