I didn’t state I was a proleague player, niether am I a “low tier player”. I was top 250 the previous season, which was competetive and the last season I didnt have enough games played to even get settled.
Either way, you’re delusional if you think DH is anywhere near top-tier or competetive atm. DH can easily stomp its way up the ladder until you hit ~plat. After that when people actually roll Ele, if the team is lacking and people actually rotate around the map. Dragonhunters just can’t keep up.
That being said, I don’t really give a kitten wether you agree with any of the changes or not, I know plenty of people do. Considering the QQ threads that’s steadilly been popping up over the past months.

Basically you can’t have an argument at that point and are just waiting for the truth to be delivered by the few and only elites.
Sure, some expertise is necessary, but let’s not be ridiculous.
You can have all your opinions, never did i state otherwise. However you want to change balance of certain things that are not applied on the “decent players” and the good players. If we want to balance the game around bronze player material lets go.
The only thing i imply in my first post is that a player (who thinks he decent) wants balance X which in theory is wrong in the semi decent tier/high tier of pvp.

Bronze is distinct from silver. Silver is distinct from gold. Gold is distinct from platinum.
I have fought players of all skill levels in pvp and WvW and I can tell the difference. And it isn’t an understanding of class balance that results in higher ranks at a certain point.
I mean, you can pretend that bronze (new) players and gold (experienced) players are the same when it comes to understanding class balance. But you would be wrong. Balance for the top 50%, not the top 5%.

Thermite got in the top 10 this season playing DH. I believe Saiyan was around top 50, he was definitely inside top 30 during the season. The only “unblockable skill” that should be giving you any trouble is signet of might warrior. Just F2 away, kite, and once it’s over you can face the warrior. Learn to play the game instead of whining about how there are some counters to your class.

Also he duoed with Naru a lot, a non-support; necro + support is a very strong duo at all levels of play. I would enjoy being more independent on necro, but necro’s damage is quite high when you take into consideration its ability to counter all types of defense aside from invuns (has unblockable shout, can strip protection and resistance, can trasfer condis). It’s just a different playstyle, if you judge its ability to 1v1 like a warrior you’re gonna think it’s really bad.

He did well because he duo’ed with Naru off hours. And the way the Nos/Naru duo works is that Naru goes on a epic back capping game while Nos spends the match running from everything.
I’ve played against Nos, Naru, Toker, Paul, Marvin, etc. And fighting Nos is a 100 times easier than any of the others because Necro has no tools to counterplay with, has no mobility to kite with, and has more damage telegraph than any class in the game.
The class is a punching bag with no use beyond corrupt spam.

Yes and I got as high as 13 on the EU leaderboards as DH. Its not my point. I even listed DH abilities in my OP. The class is in a good place indeed, but it’s getting surpressed mainly because of eles. I do realise however that every class needs a counter.
But seeing as Blocks is Dragonhunters main form of damage mitigation compared to say, Druid Scrappers and Eles being healing. Revenant + Thief being Dodging and Warrior a good mix of everything I really hope its getting looked into. Having this huge amount of unblockables forces Dragonhunters into using the “Virtues” traitline with a traited F3 for the stab and stunbreak. DH’s are also forced into Valor (Both power and Condi) because thats where the offense is coming from. This leaves 1 “Free” traitline which is forced into Dragonhunter because core builds are a joke.
So all in all, since DH’s can’t rely on blocks. They’re pidgeonholed into picking the same three traitlines no matter the builds. Kinda like Eles and Warriors.
So, this has nothing to do about me not knowing my class nor me not being “high enough” on the leaderboard to merit responding too. This has everything to do with build variation.
Op thinks a single Unblockable on a 40 sec CD is OP, smh I wonder how he feels about the near constant blocks his main can poop out both actively and passively

Im a main rifle engi, Warrior is definitely my biggest struggle in this current meta, and its not their projectile hate, i can live with that, its their passive and active immunity that doesnt let me do anything for severe moments while it regenerates all the damage i did before…

Quiet a few skills stop evades, all Ward effects Like line of warding, Dragons maw, The DH Lb 5, the DH spear of justice pull, the DH GS 5 pull, static fields, static auras . All interrupt in the middle of evades. Funny how that works right?

NO, do not drop the amount of unblockables . I say this as a guard main too. I still remember back then when no one used to take unblockables like Might Sigent because it was considered a waste. Now everything seems to have a use. Like boon strips/corrupts, unblockables, projectile hate are all much more valuable things to have compared to what they were back then.

My biggest wish are nerfing passive defense traits and stability spam.
e.g. eternal champion and hunter’s determination.
Passive defenses need to be toned down or just removed entirely. These are kitten like defy pain. Passive sustain needs to be toned down, this is kitten like having primal burst skills count as T3 adrenaline skills for trivial upkeep on T3 adrenal health and trivial cleansing of 3 condis every 3 seconds. Some skills need to have the amount of things they do reduced.
Overall a lot of power creep just needs to be nerfed already, and nerfs should come to all classes, not just 1 or 2.

Did I says DH has Static Aura and Static fields ? No, no I did not, everything stated to be DH had DH before it, static aura and fields did not. And I was listing skills that counter evades which all of those do.
Regardless of the opinion with dh, for the sake of changing the meta, they will modify stuff, saying its fine its not enough for like make anet say, it doesnt have to be changed.

yeah all classes can nearly cross a entyre map in a pair of seconds and start a big big burst from stealth.
the thing is if passives are taked away, thieves need seriously be redesigned cuz the hard nerfhammer they need to restore equilibrium with no pasives will let them as a pure joke or game will become the reign of thieves hunting players at respawn, a “very funny game mode”

Let’s be real. It’s basically passive. A warrior will always be hitting something with their massive 450 radius arc divider – even if it’s just a ranger pet or a scrapper gyro or necro minion.

Except it is passive. You hit something and you then passively regenerate X amount of HP. It you gained flat 4k healing directly by landing a burst skill, that wouldn’t be passive.
Besides, minions, pets, gyros, turrets, clones never dodge Arc Divider.

Only mesmer and thief can do burst out of stealth (don’t include engi, rifle can’t burst under a second). Scepter ele can do massive burst, but is completely terrible. Shatter mesmer is almost as bad.

Given the range and low CD on primal burst skills, especially arc divider, its for all intents and purposes passive. You actually have to try to not hit anything with arc divider, and even if you manage to miss, you only need to wait 3 seconds before trying again.
Its essentially a passive, but nice try defending ridiculously broken sustain from primal bursts counting as T3 adrenal skills.
OP, you do realize there’s DH in the top 25, one of which is #1 on the leaderboards right? Your argument there is kinda invalid.
Warrior’s face tanking (passives) is fine. They have been that way since launch and is simply something we expect from a Warrior class.
HoT power creep consists of added blocks, unblocks, CC, and Stability. Basically a spec above core spec, arguably the reason why the spec is called “Elite” and the reason why we wanted more build diversity because the spec removed builds. My point is, it’s perfectly fine to say you don’t like a specific item that power creep brought. You can’t say it needs to be removed for “balance” reasons because there are items in placed by other elite specs to make said items balanced.
Your suggestions are not something I’d ask for in the next balance update.

Core warrior is fine but Berserker is basically a warrior on steroids. Primal burst skills are strong, and i’m fine with this, since they require full adrenaline bar. But let’s be honest, those primal burst skills can be spammed too much (3 seconds cooldown wtf), and also count as tier 3 burst skills.
As the OP mentioned, i think is a good idea to change tier of primal burst skills.
Also YES to the changes @ Arc divider and Skull grinder. Those skills are completely overpowered.
Passives removed and increased build diversity is what i would like to see in the next patch anyway.
Core warrior is fine but Berserker is basically a warrior on steroids.
