Toker hands down MVP of the WTS
They all played incredibly after the first round. Nos looked like the weak link but really, he was always the focus target and to that end he did a fantastic job especially considering no way for him to disengage.

Gonna have to go with wakkey with this.
Past member of most teams NA. Retired proleague season 1+2.

Toker is without a doubt.
Without his rotations Abjured would never have gotten close to winning.
Toker, hands down best thief performance ever showed.
Incredible Toker rotations. So I’d say him. Wish most thieves played at 20% his level.
Toker went bankai then it was over for everyone.

The dev responsible for ele. (and after that Toker)
I would also say Toker definitely, the rotations were insane. He knew where to go every single second of every single game.
I was really surprised by Wakkey’s performance, too. All of them were great, though.
I’m going Toker.
Reason: He played his function in the team extremely well, getting the decaps all over, rezzing allies and generally playing something with some form of risk in Tankjured.
Toker easily. He was the one that really messed up oRNG plans. Eles were just tanks.

I disagree with this, both Wakkey and Phanta played very well. Being able to survive in outnumbered fights against players like oRGN has is difficult and they did a great job.

I didn’t say they didn’t play well :P They did.

Thing is they both had different roles and they both did amazingly at their roles. It is like comparing a really good apple to a really good orange, sure you can have a favorite but it just comes down to opinion on which is better.

Well played
Rom.
He chose (for his team) to not fight their close in the three last matches, focusing the fights in kills instead of point domination, leading to a huge score disadvantage in the apertures, which doomed the whole matches.
the thief. you can make an argument its the anet balance guy (cele ele), but the thief edges him out.
Wakkey was the real hero, rewatch the matches, he man-handled 2-3 people with his insane kiting and LoSing. Toker did well with decaps but that was only possible because wakkey (and to some extent phantaram) were able to hold out numbered fights reliably.

Well played
Period.
It’s hard to say, because the eles being able to tank and be as offensive in fights as they were (burning op as kitten) was the reason toker was able to outcap consistently. Eles were always fighting outnumbered fights and usually either holding off long enough for them to do what neeeded to be done aka thief decap or win the fight outright (if you saw the time when 2 eles took out 4 orng players, lul)
Toker’s mentality in going with the team fights and knowing when to decap when they were fighting at perfect times throughout all games but truthfully it’s really hard to tell because the eles carrying so hard in team fights allowed toker to be how good he was.
It’s really hard to say though, like zinkz said… maybe the dev responsible for ele
lol
Maguuma
who? what? where? Oh… “e-sport”
Timelord to Lillium Honeybuns, IoJ
Forever together, or not at all.
Is it a hard question? 2 DD Eles are the MVP obviously…
Toker MVP, honestly if it wasn’t for him this tournament would have gone differently. Prize money could have gone for balancing and PvP game development. Nerf D/D (don’t nerf Tempest, Tempest is balanced >.>)

Guild Wars 2 is an esport.
It just has a lot of bugs.
Balance issues.
Small PvP community.
Poor match making.
Poor MMR.
Only 1 game mode.
And no one but the developers call GW2 an Esport.
with such an International Tournament, we only see 6k viewers. Such esports.
Look at LoL or Dota, some random player’s stream has more viewers than us.

People are sheep, so what that some boring game has more viewers?
A lot of people underestimate how many clutch 1v1’s Noscoc won versus Elementalists.
But he wasn’t winning 1v1s vs eles. He either died or had help. I think at one point in the finals he died to the same ele twice in a row.
Toker for MVP. Definitely had some incredible rotations are rezzes all tournament long, among many other big plays.
I used to run the Academy Gaming tournaments for GW2.

Still more PvP game than Guild Wars 2 PvP.
And less bugs.

See the following:
Watch the mini map. Nos chases the engaging D/P Thief off of mid who then goes to +1 the 1v1 Elementalist fight at the side point. The Thief then gets Phantaram really low and chases him off point leaving leaving Nos to 1v1 the enemy Elementalist. Nos waits till he swaps out of Water Attunement (watch the health spike up to full for Orng Swagmaster) before corrupting his boons and ends up chasing him off point.
srsly… the reason why Abjured has such a great team is that they all are each others mvps…or at least they play that way. No man left behind. Semper Fidelis ftw
THE Mystic Plumbers [LUCK]
Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.
The MVP goes out to the dark lord Nos. He had a stunning 27 downstate’s in the first match alone. One small step for Nos, one giant leap for Nec kind.

Lol no. Wakkey keeps dying easily in 1v2.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

Lol no. Wakkey keeps dying easily in 1v2.
To be fair though, that was to an extent their strategy against the EU teams, let them focus on killing one of their tanks while toker decapped everything and anything.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
