Fellow PvPers,

We have made threads, we have made polls, we have made petitions, but they do not care; skyhammer has not been removed. I will stop queuing for solo arena and instead only queue solo in team arena.

I might lose some games to premades, but ateast I won’t have to play skyhammer. And I think all the new players will only play solo arena since they probably don’t read this forum.

We have the power to make the game a better place for ourselves since ANet has shown no interest in listening to us.

The devs in this game listen to players better than any other MMO I’ve seen.

So, if I want to speak against Skyhammer in Solo Q, I’ll do so by posting on the forums instead of trying some cute little in-game protest. =P

I will not join you. I’ll keep playing soloQ and get skyhammer once in a while.

Honestly, I don’t think Skyhammer is that bad, even though it’s definitely not the best map for really serious PvP. The knockback aspect definitely adds an additional element to play, even if it does help some classes much more than others.

But if I was really that hardcore, I would just be doing team PvP with a full consistent group anyways.

I win the majority of my matches playing team q anyways. I love it. Sky hammer doesn’t push me away from solo q though. And like previously stated, the devs listen more to the players especially regarding PvP than any other memo I’ve ever played. People should be more grateful. Every other memo I’ve played the devs have responded little to mostly absolutely never. I think since everyone has gotten used to the devs actually paying attention to their players inputs that that is the reason why these forums are so active with people trying to get the devs input.

fun map but trollhammer has no place in competition

You can’t really blame him though. The entire Skyhammer map’s history has been met with copious resistance and I personally can’t stand playing it. People don’t even try after someone cheeses an Engineer CC build and locks down the cannon, more people ragequit on that map than any other… it’s a hotjoin map, just like Capricorn.

Spirit Watch is better than this map… which is pretty bad given how that map was dumped into hotjoin almost immediately after it was released.

It’s not healthy to a game to keep forcing people to play a map they despise – Starcraft lets you ban your least favorite map why can’t GW2?

Devs are (and have always been) stubborn in their mistakes. They seem to care about the players and keep asking for feedback but, in reality, they simply ignore pretty much everything we say. Grouch is likely the exception here ofc, but he’s not a pvp dev.

Yup Pvp team is too small to make all the changes they want to make fast enough, meanwhile we have 4 LS teams.

I’ll join you, solo queue in team arena seems a bit suicidal but rather that then face a team of skyhammer trolls.

That’s a good idea, better than making people suffer 4vs5’s when I close the game because skyhammer popped in solo queue.

i mean.. skyhammer and spirit just both really need to go. Everytime i get one of those maps my heart just sinks..why in soloQ but not teamQ if map is so normal?

moreover, people under rank 15 shd not be able to soloQ.

The hard part, the part that matters, is actually finding out an overall beneficial way to change the game to accommodate to what you hear.
That is the actual important part, if you can’t do that, listening means nothing.
Anet can’t do that.

teamQ is the cancer for any soloQ player but arenanet even force us to play teamQ as solo player with making solo only x3 rankbonus and team x5 – seriously

and to have all the maps ,everyone agrees they are not competive, in soloQ is just another step to force people go teamQ

arenanet thinks kitten soloQ the only gamemode with a weahlthy playerbase, kitten them this guys have to paly teamQ and be canonfodder for our 2-3 teams which are left dreaming from e-sport

at the end i think the guy who did his job with pvp in 2013 on arenanet jsut dont have the balls to go to his boss to say “ey the last map we did was even a bigger fail from all this crap we did before”

There have been tons of very simple constructive suggestions for fixing PvP. Many of which would require little or no development effort.

How about “open the file listing the maps used for solo queue and delete ‘Skyhammer’ from it”? Seems pretty simple to me.

If they’re listening, it doesn’t show.
