I hope this is an oversight by ArenaNet but how is it that I have to have 25 skill points on my character to access a skill for PvP? I wholly understand the skill point sink they were going for in PvE, however I cannot fathom why this should apply to sPvP. I recently rolled a Guardian and a Mesmer solely for the sake of pvping, yet I cannot access Signet of the Ether or Litany of Wrath due to this design oversight. Given the way the PvP skill system has been implemented so far (everything unlocked regardless of the PvE side of things) and the approach ANet took for GW 1 I was wondering why they diverged on this?

PvPers reroll characters on a frequent basis so it’s understandable that some of us won’t have skill points on our characters. Maybe this could be fixed in the near future?

i agree its bad that you need to unlock them but if it helps you rest easy, the guardian heal is REALLY bad (even if you pile traits in to meditations it still isn’t worth using over other heals), for example you’d need to do around 35,000 damage over the 6 second duration to make it heal for similar amounts as the signet…

the mesmer heal is “ok” but there are still better options.

but still, i agree pvp should have all skills unlocked by default

Like, I could live with them trying to monetize PvP this way.
I’m fine with them having skills you unlock over time.
That’s perfectly fine, oh darn you can’t play literally every and any spec to its fullest right as you pick up the MMO.. dang you might have to play for a while or toss in some cash to get it all.

The whole ‘PvE for the skills’ part is a bit silly.

then they announced they would be introducing new amulets sigils runes unlocks etc.

I was being sarcastic. I think AernaNet is making terrible decisions in that department. It’s a slap in the face to the promises they made to sPvPers.

Because they want you to buy 37500 glory and 5g worth of lvl up books per class, good thing all of the new heals are bad.
