By the way I don’t mind stealth, as long as a reveal puts my target marker back on the stealth user.

Not sure if serious, but I can guess which class you’re playing.
The reason is quite simple: Thieves are capable of permanent stealth.

It’s only a good idea (as it would only be balanced…) if they nerf stealth to the ground, which you probably wouldn’t want for the sole “pleasure” of capping points (as it affects all areas of the game).
Not that I disagree that thief could use some improvements in places with my limited experience of the class, but I don’t think this is “it”.

Not on Graveyard. Could never be capped if a thief holds it i guess.
Also it would be a bad idea to make aoe even better imo, theres already too many mindless spamming and this would furthermore make it needed.
It’s not meant to keep thieves from capping empty nodes, it’s meant to keep them from bunkering on nodes their team already has (or keeping a node neutral).
You can see this most easily at Graveyard or in WvW, where at launch a single thief could prevent zergs of 30+ from taking certain objectives for a significant period of time. It would be problematic to a lesser extent on all the other capture points.

Obvious troll is obvious. If serious, then all i gotta say is ; you dont know jack squat of what “counter” means, im glad you arent in the balancing team, because after seeing the disaster we call “stealth”, i wouldnt doubt they were to implement it….

Know it and yet are afraid to take any real measures to tone it down because they know there is a certain population of players that loves playing a class with strong stealth. Instead of doing stuff like increasing reveal significantly or allowing damage to break stealth like other games do we are going to get some gimicky ranger pet ability as counter play.

As a thief I think it should stay the way it is. No cap with stealth.

It would be silly to cap a point in stealth.. you can even summon thieves or phantasms without breaking stealth all the while contesting a point?.. Completely broken.
