While I don’t play Condi often, this change kinda confuses me:
Doesn’t that make bleeds pretty much irrelevant? Both conditions now do the exact same thing, but burning is a better version.
Well diff things interact with bleeds vs burn (dmg mods) and bleeds tend to last a lot longer (~4-14 sec vs burn ~1-6 sec. )
Edit are we also certain we will be able to stack intensity our OWN burns? or is it just others? so if i cast two burns will it just go up in duration and then someone else casts a burn which makes it go up in damage? Or if i cast two burns it goes up in damage?

Stacking in intensity means they stack in intensity and will function like everything else that stacks in intensity. Watch the dragon hunter video for reference.
Burns (from what I understand) got their durations nerfed as well as their damage. Most classes only have that 1 or two burn condition that may or may not stack.
There were arguments that condi Engineers outdid condi Guardians because they offered burning as well as several other conditions, whereas, Guardians only had long burn durations through single target F1 procs. Our burn durations did not overcome Engineer’s 1 or 2 burn applications.
Now Engineers, Ele’s and Wars single burn procs got nerfed to 300-500 damage. Great if these classes were to focus target and sync their conditions properly. Poor if they can only land a single, 300 or 500, damage burn at a time.
To answer your inquiry, Bleeds will still be a filler condition as they were intended to be. They are still the easiest condition to stack and offer quite a bit of damage in a heavy sustain zerg fight. Not to mention the condi coverage is complementary and sought after.
Are auto-attacks irrelevant because of your 2-5 weapon skills? No. Easiest way to think of it, Bleeds are the auto-attacks of condi.
All burns will behave like bleeds from now on, as in if you cause 2 burns there will be 2 stacks of burn (each stack lasting the duration of the individual application), if someone else casts a burn aswell there will be 3 stacks of burn each stack ticking dependent on their caster and the duration of each stack independent too. Exactly how bleeds act now.
Bleed should be easier to come by and longer and Burn rarer and shorter duration – though looking at the amont of burn running around atm I don’t know how true that would be..
