Too much aoe affecting the game right now. They need to increase the cool down on all aoe skills on all classes not just guard. But, yes I agree. Guard is op and it takes 0 skill to play.
You forgot to add that you’re in bronze and there should be more mmr gain for top stats.
Also if you admit that you’re far from the best yet still shouldn’t be placed with “bad teamates” you’d be golden.

That’s not how it worked in GW1. You could set traps at anytime, but you were easily interrupted trying to do so.
Better yet limit the games to only 2 of a class per team maximum. I’m sick of seeing this crap as well.

Fun fact, DH is dominating the highest tiers right now moreso than the lower ones.
Warrior and thief should be labeled as OP if you’re gonna look at the low tiers.

cool, yep, i’ll just spam traps all across the map, you know in GW1 you could simply spam them the moment they came off cooldown and the first one would stay there?
typically you’d spam 3 of each trap on one spot and enemies would simply explode, instantly.

if you have a lot of them they can be a pain but 1v1 for me most of the time they go down quick. shoot them with short bow 1 time to get that block out of the way and throw my torch at him use my sos skill so his trap is usless and run in and finish him with bonfire and sword 3 skill.. had one yesterday whisper me and called me noob and a bunch of names i cant say in forums. i wanted to say to him get good but didnt want to act like a 5 year old

I’m so tired of the nerf traps bs. If I can wreck trap DHs on my thief, you guys can learn to counter them. I had one lay all his traps on point and stand there while I ranged him to death with scepter on my core guardian.

I’m playing high tier. I don’t see DH stacked more than any other class. People drawing statistics from nowhere spreading misinformation.

Today was guard daily… so there were like hundreds of them I met today – at least it felt like it
Cant say the team with most always wins.
Havent seen that many decent guards to begin with. Most guards are so easily baited and killed, its kinda funny and sad at the same time.
So what division are you in that you see so many good guards that easily win matches?
tbh the only thing that bothers me is that the trap’s CD starts refreshing when they place the trap rather than when it is triggered. And I don’t mind those CD to be drastically reduced if that change is made.
When I burn a huge invul CD so I can clean a spot only to see the DH instantly place his trap/s at the same place, welp, I feel like there’s no good choice for me to make there.

I wouldn’t say it’s fact….I play DH, just yesterday I had a match where I got 2 thieves on my team and the other team got 2 DHs. my team ended up winning with 500-200.

Still doesn’t change the fact that DH is too easy to play and to rewarding atm and carriers players to ratings where they don’t belong and drag team down because they still lack basic understanding of rotation, focusing, team fighting, map timers etc. Had too many of those DHs in matches that seemingly don’t have map open at all.
But the same goes for aura tempests pulling whole teams to where they don’t belong. I demod one a few games this season and with minimal rotational knowledge it didn’t matter how bad my team were I just brought them back. It doesn’t suffer from the cool down drawback DH does, you always have a go to skill open.

Ele still requires a team that can capitalize on ele’s support where DH is more independent.

I’ve been asking eles to support our necros etc and it works well. Only time it doesn’t is when you have 2 thieves screaming over who swaps.

Funny I should see this.. I was just in a match where we had 0 Guardians and there were 3 on the other team. I pointed that out as we started since I felt pessimistic from the start (playing a light armored class that gets destroyed in DM/ToF).
We did, in fact, lose of course.
But what bothers me most is why the system didn’t try to balance the teams more? Why 3 Guardians on one side and 0 on the other. Not that a team needs a guardian to win its just that way you don’t allow them to rotate their traps so someone is always able to lay one down.
They actually had 3 Guardians and 2 Rangers. We were given 1 Rev, 2 Thieves, 1 Warrior and I don’t recall the fifth (def not DH) but I think it was a necro. I was one of the thieves and switched to Ele to give my team more support… and the fact 2 thieves is 1 too much. At that time I didn’t know they had 3 Guardians or I would have asked the other thief to switch since DH’s eat up thieves.

Just make it work like it was in wow(?) with pets; limit the max damage you can take from aoe every second, job done, it would solve wvw problem too.

To much AOE is one of the top 5 things gw2 was ment to be built in.
They should simply make traps more like thief traps (a line) or ranger size (small rinky dink circle)
that would completely remove all guards from your matches and you’d have no more worries!!! how brilliant is that!
I’m not suggesting anything…not even learning to deal with this type of super common scenario that could improve your gameplay.

Sure, but fix the ridiculous projectile denial that eles have so that guardians have some sort of damage output. I mean, the sword auto not being projectile based is really a step in the right direction. However ..

Problem is not that the guard is op or easy to play.
Problem is when u get in 1 team 3 thievs vs 3 guards, class staking is a problem, lost 2 games in a row because of this, its just impossible to win with such conditions

I don’t mind the traps, I just dislike the enormous amount of damage mitigation they have and the solid heals. Far more than a one trick pony. Plus beating a terrible player doesn’t mean much one way or another about the build.
Play Druid, kill DH’s, support team.
