Reducing 30% of the damage done in pvp will boost glasscanon and bunker build viability in hotjoin, it will create a huge adaption problem between hot join and tournament leading casual people to only those two build.

Sata…. Your going way too far now. You need to lose about 60% of the ego you have. Now saying that there aren’t enough skilled players in the game is so far from wrong and maybe you’ve been stuck in your little circle for to long.

The other day my team vs’d you guys in paids. We lost of course because we got outplayed. I came to henge 4 times that game. The first time I popped my elite because how Sata always says “#1 mesmer NA/EU” I thought I was going to have some crazy battle. I was wrong, 30 seconds in Sata dropped and I took the point for about 10 seconds before 2 members of his team came to reclaim it. After I res’d I went back to put more pressure because at that time I felt as if you weren’t anything special. I didn’t pop my elite this time not because it was down. Didn’t think I’d needed it to beat you. We vs’d again I stomped you with most of my health remaining and got the point for maybe 15 seconds before back up (great roamers on his team). The last 2 matches you won because help came before we could finish.

I don’t care if no one believes me and you say it’s lies, I know you remember and please remember that well. I’m not saying I’m a better player than you and trying to get attention. I’ll even say it out front, Sata is a better team player(well I’m assuming because he’s team does so well in paids)

Maybe you dueling Caed isn’t the best choice for 1v1’n a thief. Caed has the same ego as you. People with that attitude will never get any better because they already think they are superior to everyone else. From what I seen you still need to L2P.

You setting the meta, stfu. Anet setup the meta and will always be the one controlling it. As good players we find the best comp/strats that works. We aren’t setting the meta though. We just follow the path Anet left out for us.

I think it was a month ago or so, you made a post about making another team. I messaged you in game and telling you I was interested. He told me I need to talk to the leader of the group. Which I did, the kid was like “OMG, Goobs” so we had the team together. This kid leading this group had to be 12 years old and was horrible. I won’t mention his name. The group fell apart of course but I gained a friend from the group so that was a plus. You didn’t even try to put a group together, I’m guessing the other groups failed the same way. Lasting a whole 2-4 hours. Sata’s your attempts to make groups just seem like a show to me. You like the spot light on you and everything you do is to keep that attention on you.

Anyways, Props to your teammates they are amazing. Hopefully they can take some of the weight off their backs at some point.

i belieave u great job on killing me. so would you say im some super mesmer that needs to be nerfed or would you say im just a player on a good team? ty for bringing this up i been waiting for some ppl to say the truth. mesmers are not super 1v1 team fight ppl that kill everyone then 1v1 everyone with no CD.

and yes you are right i am a better team player because im on a team and im set up for team play. i anticipate my team backing me up.

1 was a example on how to force mesmer home with no cd

You have to play others classes to know how they are balanced, how they feel in combat. You can’t only rely your opinion from external perspective of other class. I used to think necromancer were weak, until I played them to the fullest and did comparaison with other classes.

Hard to take anybody seriously who claims to be serious. If one really wanted to be pro at a video game, they would have ditched this title a long time ago. The dudes sticking around are either casuals who enjoy the light competition from the few remaining teams and occasional decent pugs or delusional dudes hoping that GW2 will somehow become an eSports success over night and they will have a leg up on the actual pro gamers who start playing the game.

It’s also hard to conceptualize a world in which balance is dictated by the few top-level casuals (pretending to be serious) at this stage in the game’s life. If there was a real pro scene, I can understand not wanting to balance for the common denominator. There isn’t. As such, I can’t really bite on the learn-to-play argument. Why make a small community smaller by forcing lower level players to learn every nuance of the game before they can enjoy playing it?

Hard not to read this thread merely as a tryhard Mesmer who wants to continue to be relevant by playing an indispensable class.

hey we stay around this game because once you get around the top lvl play you see it is balanced and it is fun and i have been on a pro gears of war team (team tb) and was top bomberman player neither was esports but my point there (before a jealous person stops reading at that point and goes into a jealous reply) is GUILD WARS 2 has had me more hype then either one of those games. this game gets so good and so intense thats why were are trying to help it get better and not worse.

the problem with this game is the first ppl to by it and play pvp were to lazy to stick to a class stick with 4 other ppl tweak and twork builds to form a team and practice against every other class to get a understanding on what you need to do.

me and qwho and hman and many more top players used to sit in hotjoin for 2-3 hours a day testing new stuff so now you QQ nerf this nerf that because your to lazy to L2P ppl are saying we should be punished and nerfed because we are to good and its hard for you to catch up because you dont want to put in the effort? you say ppl wont play this game and it wont go esports because it actually takes time and training to be good at it?

when i used to read the nerf post i used to just say you guys are silly but now this game has gone away from being a variety game and im sick of it.

your wrong you just need to realize ppl can beat you. i do it all the time. when i used to stomp xee when he streamed and said he was the best mesmer na i had beat him over 15 times until he finally whispered me and we talked about what i do against him. it made him a way better player. when ppl stomp me i find out emidiantly and i learn form that in hopes it dont happen again.

cant tell people to L2p when they are balancing a game around broken skills/traits/utilities. ive said this again and again, how do u balance a broken skill? once u fix that skill whats going to happen ? fix bugs first let pvp run wild for a few weeks then start balancing. i just cant see their idea behind balancing around broken stuff.

x class has ability 2 that is broken and is weak against z class.
they balance z class to x class
they fix x class ability 2
x class totally rocks z class now
balance x class down to z class again
fix z class trait 2 5 6 now z class rocks all classes
endless cycle

this is what im afraid of happening. if all the ppl in 8v8 hotjoin (which means nothing) for example get mesmers nerfed and i start losing to lets say vain on his ele 100% of the time instead of 50% then the game is ruined in my eyes.

that example goes for everyone. hman for example when for 1 month 100b was the thing being called FOTM nerf 100b then me and hman talked and we both said warriors are balanced and if they nerf them then i would be able to beat hman 10 /10 times and that would have ruined the game for him.

just because ppl at the bottom dont want to take the time to L2P doesnt mean top ppl should be penalized for it. sorry i just dont.

The other day my team vs’d you guys in paids. We lost of course because we got outplayed. I came to henge 4 times that game. The first time I popped my elite because how Sata always says “#1 mesmer NA/EU” I thought I was going to have some crazy battle. I was wrong, 30 seconds in Sata dropped and I took the point for about 10 seconds before 2 members of his team came to reclaim it. After I res’d I went back to put more pressure because at that time I felt as if you weren’t anything special. I didn’t pop my elite this time not because it was down. Didn’t think I’d needed it to beat you. We vs’d again I stomped you with most of my health remaining and got the point for maybe 15 seconds before back up (great roamers on his team). The last 2 matches you won because help came before we could finish.

I don’t care if no one believes me and you say it’s lies, I know you remember and please remember that well. I’m not saying I’m a better player than you and trying to get attention. I’ll even say it out front, Sata is a better team player(well I’m assuming because he’s team does so well in paids)

Maybe you dueling Caed isn’t the best choice for 1v1’n a thief. Caed has the same ego as you. People with that attitude will never get any better because they already think they are superior to everyone else. From what I seen you still need to L2P.

You setting the meta, stfu. Anet setup the meta and will always be the one controlling it. As good players we find the best comp/strats that works. We aren’t setting the meta though. We just follow the path Anet left out for us.

I think it was a month ago or so, you made a post about making another team. I messaged you in game and telling you I was interested. He told me I need to talk to the leader of the group. Which I did, the kid was like “OMG, Goobs” so we had the team together. This kid leading this group had to be 12 years old and was horrible. I won’t mention his name. The group fell apart of course but I gained a friend from the group so that was a plus. You didn’t even try to put a group together, I’m guessing the other groups failed the same way. Lasting a whole 2-4 hours. Sata’s your attempts to make groups just seem like a show to me. You like the spot light on you and everything you do is to keep that attention on you.

Anyways, Props to your teammates they are amazing. Hopefully they can take some of the weight off their backs at some point.

a catcher relays the pitch calls from the dugout please l2p sports. they also dont instruct how to throw, grips, etc. they just give pitch signs. you play video games 22 hours a day so I dont blame you to need to l2p but if you want to be better at real life sports plz whisper me in game.

Not going to derail any further after this point but there’s a huge difference between kids playing Soccer and Professionals. Pro Goalies are not worse players than the rest of the field. It’s pretty ridiculous to even suggest as much.

if they were as good they wouldnt be goalies. defensive backs in football are guys who cant catch. goalies are guys who have no ball skills and lack speed and endurance. plz whisper me in game if you want to understand soccer better you need to l2p a lot.

sataar is kinda like a goalie. he lacks skill to play front line but has required utility/elite skills as a mesmer that he is required like a goalie and put on back point and carried by his teammates.

lol i talked to lamp he had a dc in his first game with you guys when you were winning . and you told ppl he rage quit and completely demoralized his team. i wouldnt want someone like you on my team either no wonder you dont win first rounds. you seem like a real negative person to me and i know now why lamp got rid of you. i did play with lamp and he is very smart and understands the game.

im glad you have thiefs guild for me to beat me and im glad you waited for me to pop portal and backstabed me from 60% hp to 0 when i came through. but if you exspect me to say hey i died noone needs to L2P is a silly thing. did you win? can you win when your not a team player but a really negative person? probably not when your rep through my guild is tarnished.

i hope you do become a perfect player and never need to l2p better then you might put me in check or whatever your failed goal is.

im working heavy with team 6 atm no other team has needed any help they pretty much know what to do. when we play them in paids then they ask me for advice and i give it. when custom servers next month are up we will be scrimming all the time all 6 teams (more if we find great team leaders) so dont tell me i dont put effort into my off teams when you are very confused. i hope you make it past round 1 so you can see how good they are.

i have to ignore you from here on out because after talking to lamp then reading your replys he told me you are not a truthful person gl with GW2

1. It is not about nerfing YOU (such an egocentric guy, you are just off the charts), it is about nerfing the class. The fact that Goob easily beat you 1v1 does not carry any information about need for nerfing/buffing mesmers vs thief. For all we know Goob could be several skill levels above you as to compensate with his skill differential relative to you for any class balancing issues.

2. When someone beats you in a duels, you have no business telling him to L2P. So stop telling Goobs to L2P (and in general, stop telling ppl to L2P you are just not in position to do so (see point 3)).

3. I do not even need to duel you and your buddies to see where you are. You lose easily to Goobs, you recommend me to ask Cruuk for advice (both of them are good thieves), and you practice with Caed (who is a joke) (yes I fought all three of them). I can pretty much see where you are skill wise from those data points. I can just say that you are nowhere close to being one of the top players in the game. It is one thing to be a decent player and know you are decent and nothing more. It is another to be decent, but be delusional that you are top player. And then it is third to be mediocre, be delusional that you are a top player, and then go brag on forums about being a top player. That is just embarrassing.

cant tell people to L2p when they are balancing a game around broken skills/traits/utilities. ive said this again and again, how do u balance a broken skill? once u fix that skill whats going to happen ? fix bugs first let pvp run wild for a few weeks then start balancing. i just cant see their idea behind balancing around broken stuff.

x class has ability 2 that is broken and is weak against z class.
they balance z class to x class
they fix x class ability 2
x class totally rocks z class now
balance x class down to z class again
fix z class trait 2 5 6 now z class rocks all classes
endless cycle

fix all kitten then go from there dont balance around broken stuff

I completly agree with him. That’s exactly why since cataclysm, wow pvp is in a terrible state for example. If guild wars 2 ever follows this path, it will be over.

Seeing as how a Goalie’s entire job is to defend against Offensive Players of all levels, their opinion on what their own Offensive Players are doing wrong/should be doing to beat the opposing Goalie is extremely valid.

You want to beat a Goalie? Ask a Goalie how they get beat. Want to beat a Mesmer? Ask a Mesmer how they get beat. Ask them what frustrates them and what tactics counter their playstyle.

Makes perfect sense actually.

Lamp and I are on good terms so I doubt he would lie. I dont believe you actually spoke with him. Everything you said about the match and about me was a lie as well.

The only time you left henge was when I downed you. You returned right away after you rez’d. Even if you did use portal i cant even drop glasscannons 60% to 0 in 1 shot…another lie.

You guys did win the match i never denied that. I even said we got outplayed props to your team and everything. Once again read my first post.

I left the guild a while ago so do what you must.
