keep balance 1v1 oriented if possible
Thats right lets remove all elements of team work and make the game as dumb as possible.
In GW2’s current state, it’s nearly as dumb as possible from all the HoT power creep.
There needs to be a balance between strong players and strong teamwork. A strong player should be able to overcome poor teamwork. Strong teamwork should counter strong individuals with a weak team.
1v1 very rarely happens except in duels. the balance team should be realistic and realise most combats are 1vx being that from 3 to 60.
The balance team is already balancing 1v1 and it is proven is doesn’t work very well driving to overpowered build setups. Your suggestion is bad.
1v1 balance is important. Ignoring it causes tons of balance issues down the road.
However, 1v1 balance doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to not be lop-sided.
If every build is equal in 1v1, then the build with the best mobility will dominate.

yup, balance a 5v5 team game based around objectives around 1v1. sounds very sensible. can’t see any problem with that /s
