I broke the tie on diamond and legend. legend is now ahead by 1

And what does this mean? Well means that legendaries spend more time on the forums than actually playing the game, and that a lot of the ruby players come here to QQ about mmr. At least this is what i got from this.

Would be nice if they could actually make a leaderboard that showed the division rank of the player base, so that you could see exactly how easy it is getting to legendary. Because right now it just seems like half the game are in legendary div, and it isn’t really an indicator of actual skill at all.

This poll is only going to show players who actually visit the forums. In reality, there’s going to be a far, far higher proportion of people in the first 3 divisions.

I only played to sapphire. Not because I couldn’t go higher but that’s when I got the last of the shards I needed for my legendary. If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have played this season at all

i’m 27/30 ruby now.

need 2 more wins in a row to reach diamond.

only play 1 game per day.

hopefully by next week i can reach diamond.

Arenanet should gives us stats like those at the end of each seasons, no reason why they shouldn’t.

That’s a terrible response. I was the one offering the cookie, so therefore I already have them. Let’s be honest…you won’t go get your own cookie, you’ll make it half way down the isle and realize you need to walk farther. At this point, you’ll blame the store for not moving the cookies closer to you and then file a complaint with management about how unfair their placement of said delicious treats are.

Particularly true. Majority of players are in ruby because of safe-nets.

There are a lot of legend players browsing forums kek.

Interesting poll…if you went off the results here, then this would mean that about 40% of all PvPers are in the Legendary rank…

But a few glances around the Mists pretty much shows that this is far from the case.

I’d say that it’s interesting to at least see a representation of ranks for people who visit these forums, but I’m not sure that’s really captured here either since people at low ranks are probably a lot less likely to want to answer a poll that admits a their rank.

It would be too high if this poll did represent real statistics, but it doesn’t. I think less than 10% of pvpers actually visit forums. I am also not surprised to see so many players in legend in the poll because i think legend players are more interested in pvp than casual in amber, so they probably visit forums more frequently. Not to mention human aspect where people vote for something they are not but wish to be.

I think the takeaway from this is that the majority of posters are high level players. It follows that there opinions likely DO NOT reflect those of the majority.

Competition is well and good. However, if it is made so harsh that it drives away too many players it will collapse.

At many auto racing tracks there is a “claim rule.” If a particular car is winning too often and hurting competition the track may “claim” it for a relatively low fixed price.

This keeps people from over engineering race cars and insures that no one driver or team will be excessively dominant.

GW2 is a recreation. As such it needs to be fun for a majority of people. PvP is not fun for a majority in it’s current state. That will be to the detriment of PvP.

The high level players posting here need to bear in mind that the game needs to serve , (within reason,) all skill levels.

Would be nice to see some statistics from ArenaNet, just for the lulz.

A class breakdown isn’t necessary, we all know it’s 70% reapers.

Update: Reached legendary division today. Diamond division was weird in the sense that win streak and lose streaks are much more prominent than in ruby. Was stuck b/w T3/4 for more than a week and took 2 days from T3 to legend.

I guess 99% of all players below ruby don´t even read this…. It´s the most active that do. Oh what a wonder manny are legendary …
