Score update for those who are curious.

I had an amazing time in BG Borderlands today, definitely the best fighting I’ve seen since I started WvWing! Extremely well coordinated HB zergs hitting vale supply camp during NA prime kept us busy; JQ opened strongly during reset on BG borderlands but it’s a shame they couldn’t come out stronger during oceanic prime.

During the 12 hours since reset, the WvW pie has almost always been cut into thirds, it’s quite impressive. Let’s hope the rest of the week plays out like this (with a slightly bigger slice of pie for SoS, of course)

After an 11 hour WvW stint I feel exhausted (if only PvE was this exciting!) – a shout out to our row of defenders on bay wall during oceanic prime, I promise to pay the 10 silver to all of you

Edit: Definitely some of the most impressive portal bombs I’ve seen have come from Blackgate, excellent coordination and execution.

I must concure Arch. Having not played against BG yet, thier execution and coordination is very solid. SBI fought well, and I wish them well but I must admit…the addition of BG into the mix is ALOT of fun. Some of the moves the HB commander was making last night on BGbl was making me SHAHgrin from ear to ear. Kudos to whomever you are. Not only are your forces large, but you all are a well oiled machine. I love the split force hit. Not sure if it was just culling but it seemed like a few times while you hit either vale or arah’s you sent about 1/3 of your force in, hammer line and condibombs, then portal bombed with glass cannon grps, and BOOM … i see like 15 downed teammates. Really some solid tactial fighting going on…all 3 sides. I definately dnt want to leave JQ out. You guys are bringing it hard as usual. I am looking forward to great week. This kinda stuff is why I love playing this game. Great meta happening in T1 atm. BG, welcome back to T1, you deserve this spot, kudos. JQ, some nice adjustments you all have made the past 2 weeks. lost my screen shot but, SOS and BG were 120 points apart as I logged, Jq not far behind.

BG is doing it right. Finally a server that wants to pressure SoS for First… On the weekend!

They do that a lot. Guess they just prefer attacking Red. SBI put up with the same thing for a few weeks, you’ll get used to it.

That is the way WvW3 works, especially on EB. It isnt a red thing. Current income and points has everything to do with it. If you are in the lead, or second, you take points from your closest rival, and deal only with the third when they push you and threaten your holdings. That is only a basic rule, for there are always exceptions, but it isnt a 2v1 thing. Please don’t start that this week. It is a 3 way, and the weaker 1 of 3 is not a threat until they are in the top 2 of points or income at a particular time. Simple.

JQ was attacking us and not SoS even when SOS had the lead. I have yet to see any purple in green or green in purple. Its been full on assault on red for the last 4 hours at least.

Like I said, there are always exceptions. If 3 is weak, and 1 or 2 feels it is time to take thier income, then the sharks come and 3 becomes chud…

Don’t worry Aorin, you say your observations are based on the last 4 hrs?
A couple of hours before that same could be said on JQ. Things were turning red and green on our side, yet your side of EB stood untouched.
And i am quite sure stuff like that will occur for SoS aswell.

It’s the way the cookie crumbles in EB.

Just wanted to say Welcome to Tier 1 Blackgate, It’s nice to have a server that can pressure SoS in every borderlands.. and ourselves of course.

Score update. Gotta admit I was on JQBL right at reset last night and was there for hours (even though I had router issues which forced me to reque a few times qq) and it was pretty intense. I don’t think I EVER saw so many people escorting yaks into a garrison like I saw JQ doing last night; at least for the first few hours. Obviously it is basically a dead even match atm so kudos to all involved. BG obviously has the whole move ->T1 momentum and the other 2 have the whole welcome to T1 momentum and trying to smack the snot out of us nonstop. Which will hold out longer imo will determine this week’s winner. We had sooooooooo many guildies crying about long ques last night which is a GOOD thing unless you are one of those waiting (which I was forced to do several times qq). I will also admit that last night was the some of the best coordination on a map I have ever witnessed and it was still only enough to hold our own and then eventually being shoved back once we got 2v1ed nonstop.

Fun times in EB last time. As a scout for TYsm (SoS) it was fun following KnT/KOR of Blackgate.

We would hold SM for the entire week sometimes. That simply won’t happen in tier 1 against severs with a bit more EB pride.

EB more than BL is essentially set up for 2v1ing. Don’t sweat it fellow Blackgateian.

SoR pretty much ignored EB for our matchup against BG. Everyone knew we could only hold SM for a couple hours before the BG horde would eventually take it and capture the rest of our side.
They had it easy but not anymore!

Pretty fun fights at Godslore with BG on JQ BL. Going back and forth to take Godslore and defend Gari kept us busy. Then taking back the bay keep with SoS hot on our tails, which fortunately for us, didn’t take it. BG came right back in though and took it back from us. All 3 servers fighting outside of southern bay gate was probably the most interesting part during the time I was playing. Epic fights all around the JQ BL last night.

Interesting week!

Well we are not really zombies lol bc this weekend we’re pulling double shifts. Besides, the BG BL fight esp in Garrison’s was so kitten fun. Left/Right all walls/doors gone but we able to hold it. Double Thai’s ninja golem style at Bay&Hill afterward became just a teaser if you compared it to the Garr defend for hours

Thanks…should be interesting to see how strategy progresses…If BG Garrison is any indication as things to come…this match-up is going to take the A-net servers to brink of collapse…(fair warning A-net!!!)

you should probably say “I” really loathe SoS, speaking for the entire server that way isn’t the best way to go about it.

BG have been amazing so far. They have come into this match hungry for victory. I’ve never seen such a dominating force before. You guys are everywhere, using the best siege equipment, and basically causing everyone a huge headache. We have a reasonably large force on your BL at the moment but still have the outmanned debuff, just goes to show how many of you are interested in giving this a good fight. This week will be tough.

that’s funny, with the size zergs in the SoS map yesterday(from both BG and JQ), it feels like our map was the new EB :p

edit – what a GREAT day of WvWvW it was yesterday though. was apart of many many epic battles against both sides. i think this will be a very fun and exciting week

The oceanics are pretty close but i think SoS have the edge there very slightly.

SoS just took the lead holding a steady 310-340 all night, lets see how far they can pull ahead before the asian/euro v door starts.

SoR had a massive NA coverage which we couldn’t handle (and for what they brag, it’s better than SoS’s). If SoS is going to rely on that to win against BG, you’ll lose… Just like SoR did…

Just held Redbriar against 7 BG breakout events. SoS FTW =D

Seems like it will be the same as last, except now we will lose eu timezone to BG and not JQ. Too early to tell though, see if we get our same 10-15k lead that will sustain us through EU with BG only chipping off 4k during eu. Looks promising though since BG only seemed to push us to around 170 ppt on average during our weak hours while jq pushed us to sub 100 in there prime.

I heard Sea of Sorrows has krakens that can poke a lot of holes into your boat. Imagine 30+ of those waiting for ya by the end of the shore!

It is boring for us on SoS also. We don’t get to hear about how superior SF and their sister guild, rage, is in “Open World PvP” and how they lose every week because of coverage and the 2v1 us and JQ give them.

This is turning out to be a great week now that we finally got another server worthy of T1 in the bracket. We broke WM’s will so they turned tail and decided to PvDoor to victory. They thought they could do that on SBI but it turns out their NA crew was pretty lackluster and lost a lot of the ground that WM gained during the wee hours of the night.
