Also, it wasn’t DB who wiped them as said above. It was a huge FA zerg with 5 omega golems. I was on the wall looking down at them, trying to get a hit or 2 in before the wall collapsed at my feet.

Yes and no. We did cap all of CD BL but DB back capped all the vulnerable stuff there while we were wiping CD off of Eternal, though this was after an earlier golem attack DB had done to CD as well(before bringing them to SMC). We then took the 5-10 omegas to take Anz and Mendons before wiping at Ogrewatch. See we had the the intention of taking as much of EB as possible, we just simply decided on taking CD’s stuff first.

Yes, that time TC had reason, they were heartbroken of their dolyaks being crushed by FA ballistas, but i do agree, reducing third place to 0 is bullying.

Was it really too much “pvp” for you guys? Like everyone said, TC would have attacked anyway even without the dolyak as an excuse. I guess some people just decided that it was just another roleplaying event for TC after the dolyak was murdered.

Many of us (myself and my guild included) aren’t “punishing” anyone. If you’re red you’re dead, be you CD or DB. If we get the chance we’ll reduce them to zero, too. We don’t play for a place, be it first, second, or third, we play to win the battle we are currently in, because the current game mechanics make anything else irrelevant.

Some of our server has cautioned at times “Don’t attack server X, then maybe they’ll allow us to take second!” Well, the vast majority of us replied- “Screw that, we’d rather fight and die and be in 3rd than play not to rile the big kids on the block!”.

Most of us didn’t take getting stomped the last few weeks personally, we took it as a lesson in how to fight better. The recent injection of players from IoJ has been great, but it hasn’t changed for a second the way we fight, it just meant there are a lot more of us fighting.

That being said, yes some on FA are taking out grudges on CD now that we have the upper hand. However, I can assure you, CD would be getting stomped either way. Again, that’s just the way the game currently works, like it or not.

Good fights in the DB BL last night. Every time DB tried to take Bay, we tried to ninja in there and steal it from them. Every time, DB pulled out and went straight back to hills before we knew what was going on.

But we got it all back in the end. Still, props to the DB commander for making the right calls to get out of Bay when they saw us coming in for a 3-way fight.

We’d get into a scrap with CD and someone would yell on teamchat: “DB AT HILLS!” and it was already too late to get back in time.

But for some reason, you guys had a really tough time holding the keep once it was yours. Still made for some epic fights, though.

I always thought it was Yak’s Bend though that we were suppose to be allied with… I didn’t even know you guys had the same issue with CD as well…

Yes, we do have problems with hills and every single player on DB knows why.

To [BT] last night (around 7-10PM US EST) in CDBL:

I wanted to say that you guys were pretty kitten hurtful out there. I’m not sure how many guys you had in your zerg (it looked like you outnumbered us by 10 or so people), but I know that we in [TG] were certainly outclassed by how tight you guys ran and the skills you all used to quickly take down players. I don’t speak for my guild, but I was certainly impressed and I know that some of our guys were taking notes.

Also, to the Dragonbrand players that dueled with me at the Redwater Camp, thanks for indulging my SB/SB Thief. I know I wasn’t going to be a challenge for your Bursty builds, but I’d figured I’d give it a shot anyhow. Thanks for the duels and I hope to see you guys out there more often. :-)

We’ve been in Tier 3 for so long they should rename it to Tier Aspenwood.

We’re Fort Aspenwood. We have issues with anyone who comes into our house, kicks down the door and gets mud all over the clean carpet. CD did just that the past two weeks. We’ve always been a confident group that was OK with our role as the underpowered staging point for servers to shoot on up into Tier 2. When these IoJ guilds came over, it just made us stronger and more confident. Now it’s our turn to step on someone on the way up and CD, you just happened to already be on “the list”.

So,
I’d like to ask some of our Asians,
Are you guys excited or frustrated that you don’t get us to +600 by morning anymore?

I think it’s kinda nice that this thread isn’t entirely consisted of “DB’s only winning because they nightcap and get carried by asians and their NA crew sucks” like previous WvW threads were.

But I’m curious about what NNK and our other Asians think about being in tier 3?

oh, u were in EB…it was actually 10 omegas and 3 alphas and btw we went to DB side aswell but nnk guild ended up wiping us

I wouldn’t call tier 4 a “lower tier”, except in the sense that it is a tier lower than tier 3

Maybe not, but when we were in tier 4, all we heard were those excuses from the other servers. Not much you can do about it, except apologize for having more people that play WvW than they do.

To CD, I wouldn’t get too down about being reduced to 0 PPT for a brief time. If it makes you guys feel any better, Dragonbrand did that to two servers simultaneously a couple weeks ago. While I thought it really cool seeing the whole map one color, I did feel bad for the two servers. Darkhaven especially since they had a guild exodus that week and we got some of their bigger guilds (Krew comes to mind).

You guys rebounded significantly faster than they did and against tougher opponents.

So let me get this right, FA now thinks that we QQ even if someone asks a question? God you’re so kitten about something.

I think we’ll be happy this evening. Even with 0 ppt, I know I can go with my group of 3-4 and go kill strays and get camps.

I can only imagine you guys destroying T4, getting excited about your new opponents, fighting hard on the battlefield, then going on the forums to read on what people are saying about the match only to see its CD and FA arguing about stuff that happened before the match.

According to mos, the rating between you guys is 13 points. DB will have to make a big push throughout the day before NA primetime when CD seems to have an advantage over them.

I would like to see what Kaineng is really made of right now, and I have little doubt that we’ll see CD again soon. (FA not so much, but DB and CD seem to be somewhat balanced right now and probably belong in the same tier.)

We log in, kill people, and log out. At times guilds won’t even siege keeps or towers and just look for open field skirmishes.

Points have never been my primary concern, and sieging is and always has been a dull practice; I find myself roaming alone or in small groups for the most part. The problem here is that without the players on our server who make an organised push for objectives, my fun wouldn’t be possible.

Before the IoJ transfers, there weren’t really many players who fit this role during my primetime (late to superlate oceanic hours), and thus 0 PPT was a relatively common thing; being unable to leave your spawn doesn’t really give many opportunities for small skirmishes. It would be fantastic if our current presence is enough to defend the enjoyment of those who only play WvW for the PvP at reset.

There were some great open field fights out there last night in CDBL. You guys in [TG] are definitely a great guild and you gave us some of the most fun fights we’ve had in a long time in GW2. Guilds like yours are why we have so much fun playing against CD. We were between 15-18 guildies with 3-5 FA militia following us around last night.

How big was KH? Don’t recall seeing them much in WvW. Either way, less than a week to jump ship. You guys are heading to another round of another beating next week in T3, then probably drop down to T4. Wonder how that will work for you guys at the close of xfers.

For DB, I predict we will grab 2nd place this week and drop to tier 4. We will probably do well next week and won’t suffer any xfers before the deadline. Works out well for us.
