so far the fights have been good, fairly even off the launch, hope BP can keep the pressure up all week this time keep it up guys, keep me posted on the scores tonight if u guys can i will be gone for the next 7 hours!

Not planning to start a flame war, but I’m getting reports of exploiters in Maguuma exploiting under Bay in their BL to destroy siege.

You really shouldn’t play that rumors of exploits game. Screenshots/video or it doesn’t matter.

PM me if you have screenshots or know the guild tag. Otherwise report what you see and please keep it off of the thread.

Yes, Maguuma and DR were doing the catapult exploit. I saw them both and soon after, they were destroyed. Didn’t really matter though because when Plok and Daiosho dc’d, ranger mich left bay out to dry and we lost it. his 100g outweighs map importance apparently.

also, to the members of goat, thank you for trying to tolerate me, and I will not be like others that have been escorted out bad mouthing. Lead them to victory Plok.

there is a small ledge on the north wall IN the water at bay that can be used to put down catapults and such. Like I said, I didn’t report anything to anyone, I told people and they came and destroyed them.

Isn’t that just a classic ninja spot? I don’t think ninja catas are exploits. When you see white swords, you send someone to sweep.

The catapult at the water entrance of bay is not an exploit. That spot is intended for use like that.

Yeah…I don’t think anyone in the upper tiers considers that an exploit. Sorry if you do.

honestly, I don’t know if it’s an exploit or was put there on purpose to try and encourage people to take a chance in taking bay. everyone I talk to on BP says exploit, so I also use the term. All I know is the defense of it was pointless because one commander decided to leave a guild he really doesn’t care for out in the wind instead of equally splitting forces for defenses. Doesn’t matter to me anymore. I’m not in there. Overnight zergs would probably wipe it out anyway.

I’d like to address something that I was a “victim” of. As i was running around Greenvale Supply camp in Maguuma Borderlands, i noticed a Devona’s Rest Invader with the guild tag [XIII] and as i approached them they stood still. So being a thief I became the jerk that is encoded in my class (lol) and went for the quick kill. However, as i went to go do the backstab sequence said player shot up into the sky vanishing and reappearing just barely visible on my screen about 1600-2000 meters away (game distance) much like the node hopping hack. Just figured I’d let you all know so you can keep your eyes peeled

Yep, that lip in the bay water entrance is not an exploit. It’s a physical lip built into the bottom of the corner wall. Now if there wasn’t a wall lip there I’d be more inclined to believe exploiting was happening.

Oh boy, already whining and crying in this thread. Why can’t these threads just be about friendly competition and funny / interesting / cool battle reports?

Anyway, a shout out to [OG] for letting us have some fun with you guys around Champion’s Orchard. I especially liked the part where I baited you all to the other side of the bridge while my guildie killed the poor pugs you left behind at the camp. You didn’t kill us this time but I am sure there will be more opportunities.

Also, a shout out to [AD] for some fun action the first couple of hours after reset. Roaming with you was a pleasure.

And finally a shout out to this match up for some great, action-packed game play these first few hours after reset. I hope it can continue like this throughout the week.

Can we please stop talking about hacks and exploits in this thread? Asking of a server has a guild that “always exploits” is not a good direction to steer this thread in.

I suggest each server have a few contacts for this so you can PM us if you find our server doing something suspicious. For Maguuma, you can PM either me or Besetment.9187. We can get into contact with most of the major WvW guilds easily.

Regarding treb “exploit”

I saw three times where Maguuma mesmers portaled in groups to snag back a tower/keep we saw. All three times were our fault. I saw them still in our keep, I saw them drop a legit portal, and I died three times calling for back up (which came. w00t!) They were clean hits each time. Most of us ran to fix gates or charge off to another keep being attacked before we checked our nooks and crannies. Maguuma has some focused mesmers that know the drill. We gotta start looking for where their peeps go before the fight is over, not sweep when we think we’ve won.

It’s easy to cry foul and suspect sploits, we’ve all been victims of it, but that isn’t always the case. M’kay?

Yeppers, not an exploit. If you go down there you’ll see a deliberate edge on the corner of the bottom of that tower. It’s been a widely used tactic that I’ve seen many times on and by various servers.

Good fights in Devona’s BL.

Had a blast in Devona’s Borderlands tonight, the momentum kept switching back and forth in the map , as all three servers had control of Garrison at least once each. Maguuma was very solid at being opportunistic, having some of the better lightning strike raids on a few keeps and at one point nearly turning the entire map green. I was amazed at how Devona’s stuck down in the south fighting us between Hills/Lake/Lowlands while Maguuma was working down Garrison. Guess you guys wanted Hills as badly as we did(I wasn’t gonna stop on that fight, figured you guys would prioritize Garrison). Anyhow Maguuma dealt a serious blow to BP’s morale when you guys yoinked the Hills back after we had that horribly long fight against Devona’s for it, anyhow it was fun, sleepy time and I should be back out in the field again by Sunday, looking forward to what the scores look like by then. Have fun everybody!

When we wake tomorrow BP I hope we still have SM.Hope the night crew can make a dent it is a disorganized mess at the moment. Our borderlands are simply a cluster f thank god who ever is in Eternal is bringing the heat.

Oh and there was some female Fat Panda thief or whatever that would just NOT LEAVE ME ALONE….so annoying how many times she downed me but luckily for me couldn’t finish the job! The Culling was horrendous in that area next to that massive battle, and my traps couldn’t do a kitten thing to help me fight that thief :P

Devona’s Rest. How many beatings does it take to make you realize that zerging Stonemist for hours isn’t going to get you Stonemist.
Then again you did eventually get Stonemist but my people did get many many loot bags. So thank you for that.

Here are the three reasons AD stayed there.
1) DL BL was ful
2) Was filled with FURIOUS ANGER at being zerged by Green/Blue for the first 20 minutes. So we decided to stay and take out that FURIOUS ANGER on the zerg.
3) A goat bit me when I was a kid and have hated them ever since

BP had enough in Mag BL for two servers anyway. Ya’ll just didn’t allocate those soldiers properly imo.

He tried to take the camp. We prevented him. He went back and sat in invulnerable spot. As soon as we went out of sight he came back to take the camp (not that he succeeded, we were of course only hiding and stomped his kitten once he came close).

We were protecting the supply camp, to cut supply to Bay. He attacked us, was losing, pussied out to that spot…tell me, how is this spawn camping. Its a broken spot, if you go and hide there, its exploiting.

Why cant people get it through their thickskulls to just send those screenshots to the exploit team?

Every server I have played has a few people running to that spot. Bug Anet about fixing it instead of kittening about on forums.

If that is an exploit, then please explain how that is any different than just running back into spawn through the main spawn exit. I will admit it I am the person in that screen shot. Until anyone with at least half a brain can give a decent reason explaining how that is exploiting, I will continue to do the same thing. I will also admit it is a dick move to sit in an invulnerable spot, but it is no worse than jumping one person 5v1.

Whew, this is gonna be a fun week! I’m excited.
